I needed something with a bit more payload, towing capacity (not typical 2500 capacity), and an engine that can cruise at 70mph on grades effortlessly (atleast unloaded) so I got a power wagon. Seen quite a few people with Gladiators go down this route as well. Also yes bigger tires are planned 33's look like skateboard wheels on this. Don't plan on lifting it any further (since it can run 37s with the right offset out of the box). I think she should do well in AK.

Had another kid and I half heartedly priced out a PW. Holy hell! Those things are well over 80k before ttl. Kinda wish I had gotten one in from start now that I need more space. 3 kiddos in the back of the gladiator is tight.

We still have a Gladiator - (My Wife's lol).
Looks good, except the tires seem tiny.
Yeah same size as a JTR - luckily bigger tires (35s fit with stock wheels/offset and 37s with a different offset)
Love me a Power Wagon…nice truck!
TY Sir

Oh yeah - if it wasn't for the deep discounts at the time - i wouldn't have pulled the trigger - sticker on this one was $88k my OTD price was right under $74k with tax/tag and all that - still a huge chunk of change and I definitely felt it.

Damn, my first house was 89K:). I just sold my 2017 Super Duty for a Gladiator. I found myself needing less interior space and less towing capacity and an easier handling vehicle in tight spaces. Nice truck though!

Where I am going space won't be a problem. Original reasons why i went from a 3/4 ton to a JTR myself. But now I do need something that can do what a 1/2 ton does but more burly (Power Wagons have more diminished payload/towing than a normal 3/4 ton because of the softer rear springs/offroad setup).

This one's at my local dealer. $21k discount! What a deal!

It's pretty sweet AEV model though. And Diesel.
Seen those around - but no way i am going to fork down 6 figures - i thought myt ruck was too expensive after discounts - OUCH ! Those things are super cool though - that one is probably a diesel (which i'll never do again after my experience with my 22 2500 cummins) - prospector xl's come with 40s - don't think that one is based on the power wagon - so no electronic sway bar disconnect or front locker (not sure if you can option them out that way).

That kinda suck, missing those two features and having such a hefty price tag. Looks like it's more prudent to get the power wagon and drop 30k on aftermarket parts.

I went from an '08 Power Wagon to my '22 JT. If I want another full size truck. It will be another PW.

Here's the link to the PW forum.

I am toying this idea lately. OR F series tremor. Just my kids are getting bigger and trips in the truck with 3 kids getting older and all the things we bring, theres just no room in the gladiator. It is cramped. I probably wont do it, but its tempting lately.

I feel you. My current solution was to pick up a small offroad trailer for camping trips. Plenty of space for gear. Plus my 3 kiddos are petite little girls. So it's still workable. Recently got a '24 Sequoia for the wife. It's definitely much more spacious and comfortable especially for longer road trips. More importantly, the Gladiator isn't leaving us anytime soon.
