I purchased my Gladiator after it had been modded. One item on the list is described as part number VI P&L, part description "vehicle integration". Can anybody explain what this is?

I think they were done at a Florida Jeep mod shop. I have an invoice with the owner and vendor names redacted. I'm trying to find out the vendor so I could ask them some questions. Whatever it is it cost $999.00.

It's kind of a catch-all. I don't think anyone here will do anything more than throw vague ideas at the wall.

Is this something practical to an issue you need to solve or an upgrade you're trying to do, or just to satisfy curiosity? Would be a ton easier to direct the question at a specific issue you're encountering.

Why not call the mod shop and ask them?

Sometimes people need to seek counseling if they have been removed from society for a while like prison for 20 years or in a long term coma etc. Jeep trucks were missing from the scenes for many years, and some have been known to come out with some pretty bad azz attitudes. I guess that is why we love them. I think they sent yours off to some special Jeep doctor helping it with integration back in with the rest of the Jeep family or something. Hopefully they didn't work out that off road toughness and turn it into street woke jeep..:CWL:

A couple of the mods are drawing my attention. Both stock bumpers are gone; front was replaced by a stubby with a guard to accomodate a winch. I don't have front sensors to warn me when I am getting close to something, so I was wondering if vehicle integration meant somehow getting those to work again. The rear bumper was also replaced but it has working sensors.

Another mod is what is described as an SPOD, which appears on the lower middle of the dash with a power switch and six different buttons. Apparently this mod makes it easier to add accessories that need to be wired in to power, and the SPOD makes this easier.

I am not having any issues but want to know if there are things I could be using and don't know about.

Still waiting for confirmation of who the shop was so I can call them.

Reach out to the dealer you bought it from and ask them who they had do the mods.

I didn't think there were sensors in the factory front bumper to begin with. To be honest, it sounds like there's nothing wrong with your rig. That charge was just going to be part of the installation of those things.

Yeah, no US Gladiators have front parking sensors.
