Same here…. We bought our 2024 Mojave X in March 2024 (didn’t want to wait) and MSRP was about $72k with like $1,200 off (dealership incentive). We traded a 2016 GMC Canyon w/ only 50k miles (original owner). Negotiated the trade…. Bottom line after all the crap they tack on…was $42k.

For us….. It’s much easier to swallow when you’ve become older, financially comfortable, & debt free.
Your 24 must have every possible option. MSRP on mine was at 7k less, but I stuck with stock wheels, A/T tires and skipped the almost worthless 110v rear bed outlet. I have my own rails, so skipped that expensive option

I keep seeing this crap all over the internet.

It's like a bunch of people just bought their first car ever during Covid with stimmy checks and never heard of the term depreciating asset.
And they all want to look at msrp vs current value when we all saw the massive discounts in 2023 and 2024. Sure the current value of my pretty loaded 2023 mojave of $42k with 30k miles on it looks really bad compared to the msrp of $65k. Fortunately I only paid $51k. $9k down in 2 years and 30k miles is nothing.

We did get the Mojave X ……. And as loaded as we could get it - that was available on the lot. No extras really….bedliner, floor mats (which, I‘m not impressed with), stock wheels on 33” falkens…. OH, it had the factory soft folding tonneau (sold it). No rail system, no locking underseat storage, no additional tops or anything.

Could there be the difference in price between Iowa and Pennsylvania?

The msrp doesn't change, but I'd never pay msrp regardless of state.

This is why whenever I modify one of my vehicles I do it knowing I won't get any profit unless I sell it to a private buyer. I flipped 2 vehicles, a Jeep YJ and a Chevy Avalanche 2500. I made over 100% profit on the YJ, the Avalanche I made 80% profit. But when I recently sold my JKU to a dealership for cash, I lost money - a lot of money. Its a gamble.

True, I was just using that as comparison with their Mojave X. My MSRP was easily 7k less than their 72.
But I paid almost 10k under MSRP.

I got my 24 Mojave pretty well optioned out with dual top group, leather, up fitter switches ,spray in liner, tow package and some other options that I can't recall for 7K off sticker and have almost 10K in upgrades, not selling it and gonna drive it and enjoy it, I love it, even with the dreaded cam/rocker issue looming over us all.

Did you buy it at the end of the year?? I bought it in March 2024…..
We didn’t pay MSRP ….dealer had a small amount off and we negotiated hard to get the most on the Canyon trade.

I had my Canyon for 8 years while the hubby had his BMW for 6 years.
I told him….. ”It’s my turn to buy a new vehicle”😆
He was eyeballing a new BMW….. so….. HE didn’t want to wait. 😆

BMW’s are fun as hell ….. but the rule of thumb (in this house)….is not keeping a BMW much longer after the warranty (or get warranty extended) because they are hellish $$ to fix. Knock on wood…he’s never had an issues !!!

Ordered mine march 11th end of their day (this year)
Jeep said accepted order on the 12th.
Picked it up on the 12th of April, so I've had it just over 2 months.

Here's part of the difference - $1,895 base price difference.
Almost 2 grand price drop 24 to 25.

I selected the Rubicon for 1 main reason the Dana 44 up front. The rest was as on the lot and it came pretty loaded leather steering wheel with heat , 110 plug inside Alpine stereo 8.4 screen tons of media plug ins , did not have leather seats which I am fine with cause I actually prefer cloth especially in the humid climate I live in and then the freezing depths of winter we endure makes leather a not so fun option. But this one had heated seats heated mirrors .
I didnt even know about select track or may have hunted for one of those so this one just had rock trac and lockers . I purposely chose the automatic as my left hip isnt the greatest anymore I LOVE a standard but figured it was time to try an auto and love the downhill controlled decent ,which I never had on another vehicle.
And I say all that to say this.
I dont give a flying flip if they tell me it ain't worth what I owe to pay it off. I AINT getting rid of it and I love this machine almost more than my dogs 🤭
