Got my last jeep wave oil change. Pretty sad I only got two out of the deal. It expires in a few days and I only have 10000 miles on a two year old gladiator. I know its sad. But work has really got in the way of my jeeping time.

It ain’t so! Not a bit!

Zero metal-to-paint contact. For the stop-peg, I used 3:1 shrink tubing, heavy. Ends up with like 3/32 thickness., and tough. That was too thick for the hinge peg itself, so that’s 3/8” electrical heat shrink tubing. At the top, there is a heavy washer welded on, with a bonded rubber sealing washer below, in contact with the top of the hinge.
