Company car hauling truck driver 26 years 2024.
Mounted to be dedicated WINTER tires (LEFT) on the stock/base 7.5” wide Mojave wheels. Will include 1” wheel spacers to not be so tucked in.
Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT - 255/85R17
(or 35x10x17).

Dedicated and CURRENT SUMMER tires (RIGHT) mounted on 8.5” wide Method 315 wheels.
Kenda Klever RT - 35x10.5x17

Funny thing is… tire size/offset link implies the Mickeys are nearly an 1” smaller diameter.
Mickeys have slightly more air than the Kendas and vehicle weight.

No, not a lot of difference, but not running the machined finish Method wheels through Michigan winter.

Leveled out the front of my JTRD with Clayton’s 3.5 diesel springs bringing the nose up a solid 1 5/8”.

Note: My Clayton lift was installed prior to the availability of their diesel specific springs.

This or an equivalent anti-pinstripe device is almost a necessity for trail riding through the Ocala National Forest.
Loving it.

Today I changed out the front ball joints on my Wrangler as a practice run to the inevitable. The fronts needed it on my 2016 Wrangler so I used the Teraflex HD ball joints. I may have to be preemptive and just do them on the JT now…after I recover.

Gave it a good bath at the self car wash and then the drive thru car wash. Then vacuumed and detailed the inside at home. Spent 4 days camping at Bonita Canyon campground at the Chiricahua National Monument in South East Arizona.

Started teaching myself to powder coat. Turns out a lot of the parts I like are shipped bare steel, so I decided powder coating might be interesting enough of a hobby to learn and could save me some money in the long run.
First attempt tonight on some of the rear bumper trim for my Motobilt bumper

Got a few things done during the last couple of weeks. Removed my Go Rhino rack and replaced it with Alucab Contour canopy. Raptor line my rtt, mounted a flexy solar panel on top, and added rockhard 4x4 sliders. Had to drill through the canopy to mount the solar cable gland through the roof. It's always hard for me to poke holes on new expensive gear. Also cleaned up the cabling hanging on the inside in one of photos.

I have the Milwaukee M12 Hatchet, and the Dewalt 12” 20V brushless chainsaw. Both work amazingly well! I see you’re in Orlando. Are you a member of The Orlando Jeep Club? We are, it’s a great group. Hope to be doing more with them next year as we’ll both be retired.

Are you in Orlando too?
I'm familiar with the group and have met some of the nice folks who belong. It looks like fun but I'm more of a solo trail rider. I am working up to trying a group run though, lol.

We are on Merritt Island. The Orlando club is awesome. They have lots of events, and trail rides. They also have smaller groups that frequently go on trail rides. We even won a Warn winch at one of their picnic raffles. They have sponsors that supply them with goodies.

There is a local club, but it has had a lot of internal disputes, and life’s too short for chaos. It’s worth the hour drive to meet up with the other club.

Gonna be the envy of the Jeep trails down here.
Found this at the local parts and pieces store (Skycraft.)

It's a step AND a shackle! Don't be jealous, lol:

First engine oil change today (4,922 miles). Got to say…the oil filter location was well thought out.
