someone flipped you off for hauling drywall in a JT? Hell, my old Ram 1500 crew cab only had a 5’6” bed. That’s not much better for hauling longer items. he’d have to borrow a vehicle or have it delivered lol.
I don't know what it is. I get a lot of compliments on my Gladiator, but whenever I use it to haul anything, people talking shit come out of the woodwork. Its very strange.

It's nothing new. Just a whole lot more people with internet muscles who worship the trolls. I had a discussion with one of my son's friends who made the comment that my Gladiator wasn't a Jeep. I told him he'd have to do way better than that because I'd been listening to jack offs talk crap about new Jeeps since the YJ (square headlights), TJ (real Jeeps don't have coils), JK (mini van engine and 4 doors are too long), JL (the internet hates it, so I must hate it), not to mention all of the XJ haters who will turn around and fawn over a Comanche. Personally I've gotten way more interest and positive comments on the Gladiator than negative. Could also be that I ignore the folks who are just stirring the pot.

Dude it’s the same with everything. You also get the haters who can’t afford the up charge for a Gladiator so they bitch that it way overpriced. Also if I here one more review comment on that’s Raptor money, no it most definitely is not. If I pay full list on a loaded Gladiator it’s 73k in Canada. The same loaded Raptor is 112k, and dealer special is 98k. I’m paying 65k for my loaded JTR. That’s a spread of 33k. At the end of the day I’ll keep my 33k and if I want to drive fast I’ll put that money into a used sports car that meant to be drivin fast, not a truck that weights a shit load.

my 2 cents.

What's the love like for the Rugged Ridge snorkel?
I like the snorkel - and that you do not have to cut the hood. If you have $600 to throw away on something that looks cool, go for it! It won't turn your jeep into a submarine, but there's less worrying when splashing thru the big puddles. It uses a few rubber gaskets throughout and sort of clips onto the factory airbox. I would not trust it if i was over the hood deep in water. I would buy it again.

Except don't the JTs have an air intake hole right next to the passenger side headlight, well below the pain one? As part of the transmission cooling system. I would think splashing into water gets water in there first.

I meant for going across the bed to support the payload boards
I haven't cut them yet. There is a thread on here that I copied the dimensions from. 57 5/8" for the 2x8 and 50" for the 2x4. Technically, the 2x8 is .25" taller than two 2x4s, but I think it will be fine.
