Well, what I've done with my Gladiator lately, hauled 41 bags of concrete to change the "trail rating" of my driveway.

I drove it to work this morning for the first time after lift and tires !!!!!
... I was so excited to get up this morning, hop in and drive! the ride was smooth and without a hint of wander.
I think its because this was months of planing and boxes of parts executed in one weekend and not one trip to get a missing bolt, part or a tool that I needed to finish it also I had all 3 of my kids put in some wrench time with me. This is the first build that I got to instantly see results, this excited me more than the day i brought it home.

LOL,
Does doing our taxes in the driver's seat of my Jeep this afternoon count? Because it's the most relaxing place to sit, without interruptions. 🤣 Multiple states, multiple jobs, energy credits, investment forms, and all the eligible fees from selling a home. Thankful we get a refund. I would love to say I get Jeep parts with that refund, but not this time. Maybe next time.

I got a nice refund and my heart really wants an AEV snorkel and/or a 1/2 height rack for the bed. BUT....the money is in a savings account earning 4.25% interest and I like seeing that income every month, so I just can't bring myself to do those things......yet. LOL.

Taking the new camper to Ocracoke for its first trip. I’ll take it to the mountains next to tests it’s off road capabilities.

Thanks! It’s a Limited Edition, which ought to just be a different model as it fixes a lot of the issues with the regular OP4. I think for the money it’s hard to beat. It’s got probably the best ratio of interior space to folded size and of importance to me, it can carry a lot of gear up on its rack. It doesn’t come as well equipped as a Patriot, and maybe it’s not as well made, but then it costs more than $20k less.

I’m going to do a thread of some of the mods I do to it and review/impressions. It tows really well with the Gladiator with the DO35. Zero sway. The trailer sits high too. I have the hitch set to a 3/4” rise and I’m on 37s! It’s actually a little too high, even loaded, but a 2” drop is way too low. I need a straight hitch if one exists. Mileage really drops with the EcoDiesel but it runs up hills like a scalded dog and you basically forget you’re towing anything.

I’m on 37’s with a rear 6” lift and my trailer needs a rise as well. But I put 37’s on the trailer. So…

I’ve been super happy with my b and w tow and stow adjustable. Goes up or down at relatively small increments. Works great.

Wowzers.…….I think you need some bigger side mirrors. How are you able to see anything behind you?? Good Luck and stay safe out there!

I’ve got the Rampage mirrors but I’m waiting on the adapters from our guy on eBay. The trailer is about as wide as the Jeep so I can see to its rear corners with no issues. What it really needs is a camera on the back of the camera. I’ve already backed over one thing that tbh I can’t really tell what it was. It was either a really hairy kid or a kangaroo. I’ve got a Garmin BC-50 to install that works with my TreadXL so hopefully that won’t happen again. I wasn’t gonna wait around until all of that was installed before using this for the first time. Also I don’t care what’s behind me. That’s all in the past. And from what I can tell it’s mostly unpleasant stuff anyway, with all the sounds of crunching metal and screaming.

We took the Gladiator for a spin. Towards Mt St Helens. Stopped at a viewpoint that we stop at all the time. The view is always worth the stop, as long as the clouds cooperate...

Then we headed up to one of the sno parks. The upper barrel is a bit bigger than a 55 gallon drum...

Our first trip for the season yesterday….. Mid 70’s and water temp 56. One of our favorite lakes - A small (90 acres) electric only lake. Very popular (unfortunately) and about 1/3 of the lake was closed off for spawning (Largemouth Bass). Here in PA…fishing can be tough, and you’ll take anything you can get to prevent from being skunked. Caught about 10 fish between the two of us. Nothing big… in fact, you’re lucky to catch anything over 3 lbs here in PA (depending on the lake). They just don’t grow BIG like their southern cousins. ☺
OR……if they’re 15” (legal to keep), the locals take ‘em home and fry ‘em up.

The boat & our Humminbirds are 8 years old now (time flies…). One of our units has had issues (but too costly to have someone look at it for us). There’s talk of buying new Sonar units. So yea….not only can Jeepin’ get expensive, but fishing can too!!! 🤣
