800 lbs of mulch. Hard to believe that's pretty much max payload. Still had a rake. I think that solidifies my decision for another inch in the front.

I hauled 7000 lbs of trailer with my Woman’s 2 bedroom apartment contents 600 miles. Got 10 mpg in heavy wind at 70 mph on interstate (until springs sagged to the stock bump stops and slowed to 55mph and got 12 mpg… had to take off the 2” RE bump stop extensions, because no room for them when static,,, and yes I trashed my rear weak ass Rubicon Express 3.5” springs (not RE’s fault though, this is on 4 Wheel Parts, they were supposed to put HD rear springs on the JT, not the stock 3.5” RE lift springs). People just don’t listen or more likely don’t care or just look at the Jeep Truck to realize I carry a load and tow with it, at these places.

overall the petrol JT towed this load well. I don’t recommend it though. I did use cruise and manually selected my auto transmission gear accordingly. You have to be vigilant doing this. Trailer brakes were inop, though trailer is nearly brand new. Stopping was okay, but again don’t recommend this.

Before manually selecting gears with the cruise on, just naturally using “D” mode, the jeep would max rpm’s on acceleration to interstate speeds (If I used cruise without manually selecting gears, then the Jeep would go into 4th gear and stay there on inclines even after the climb. Gas mileage was 7.5-8mpg).

It didn’t occur to me that we could manually shift once Cruise was on! Thanks!

I hope you have room for all that stuff at home, or some of yours will have to go.

Took my son to the BWCA. This is Lake Superior near Split Rock on the way out.

Home built rack - $20 in wood and $30 in fasteners. The reason it is so high up is that I have an Ace Upper Decker. Kind of an unusual mod but it works for me. See

Won't be hauling as much with my new one. Lost 100 pounds payload on the 22 vs the 20 and I even ordered a lighter windshield. GG windshields are 30% lighter than standard windshields.

A pizza for dinner may be the biggest or most heavy thing I haul now.

Over $200 worth of lumber (doesn't take much, eh?)
Found out the tail gate cables are apparently a tad different than they were in 2020 model year because the offset of the cable mounting point on the bed makes is so the cable can't go completely behind those black pieces that hold the tailgate in the mid-position.
The cable have a jog in the metal end piece and you really have to beat on the cable with your hand or shove really hard on them to get them back there. An apparent change they never tested.

But hauling 12' boards isn't a problem otherwise.
