I wish I had cried once and bought those LCAs the first time around. They’re truly amazing. They take a beating, are easy to adjust, don’t loosen up, and don’t require a lick of maintenance. And thank goodness the jam nuts are gone forever. I bought the griffin after bending my middle section of my existing steersmarts drag link. I figured it was worth a try for that small price difference. I was pleasantly surprised to feel how much better steering is when hitting harsh bumps, especially at faster road speeds. The back and forth shimmy just doesn’t happen anymore. It absorbs it perfectly. Have fun!
I am looking forward to the same positive experience!

Most people of shown it to, I think, are skeptical that the attenuator is snake oil, or just another way to spend time under the Jeep. But it’s a genuine improvement. I have to believe the gearbox will last longer as well, with it absorbing big jarring hits.

I just keep telling myself it'll be ok, I'm saving in the long run. ?

? fly, fly away......

I ordered another ironman shower cube (Christmas present for dad) and a drivers side awning (passenger will be another Christmas present for dad, he likes passenger side) for darn near half off. 46.7.....% discount to be exact. I can't pass that up.....

And, some extrusion - since much of the tnutz stuff is also around 50% off currently. Too bad I can't get that kinda discount on 6x6, 2x4 and plywood - otherwise I would be building a shop.

Well Central Control got a bit concerned about the clutch recall.

So...

Bought an ACT promass with street disc setup.

Since im pulling all that out, mine as well do a B&M shifter, and transfer shifter while Im in there.

So mods for days, the build thread will continue to grow.

I'll be doing the clutch myself, not my first rodeo at all, but first time on the Jeep. Last few were all fwd transaxles, so a regular rwd trans and transfer is a bit easier to do for sure. Going to do my research and make sure I have all the torque specs and consumables.

Took advantage of the Black Friday sales and got Core 4x4 Front Upper Control Arms, Rear Upper and Lower Control Arm, Front Axle Johnny Joint Kit. This takes care of suspension. Want to get the Ohlins shocks when my credit card recovers from Christmas shopping. Then Apex steering linkage.

Nothing exciting or to the level of things coming in the mail for others. Just a black OEM lug nut set.
I ran some black silicone covers for a few weeks before deciding to make the switch. The covers really did a good job of holding up well in all sorts of weather and car washes.

Steel bumper finally. Not the best looking bumper but it’ll do for the next few years for sure. Now the three main questions I need to potentially answer for myself are:

Do I feel like installing it myself?

If I go the professional install route, which shop do I take it to in the Boston/Central Mass area?

What winch should I go with? (plenty of existing thread material on this I’m sure)

Congrats. Bumpers are quite easy and satisfying to install yourself. I’m confident that you’ve got this.

Thanks!

Yea you’re probably right honestly. Plus I got nothing else to do this weekend assuming it arrives on time.

Honestly there is nothing wrong with the Harbor Freight Apex 12K winch. It's fast and comes with a wired and wireless remote. Comes with a external power switch and is affordable.

You got this, a bumper is one of the easier mods you will ever do.

Still waiting for my passive entry kit. Fair to say I was told that it would be a while.
