Wait, you thought you could re-sell it for the same as the widow sticker?

....what???
Does the window sticker say 50,000? I think everyone here is not understanding my question. I don’t live under a rock. Im well aware that gladiators are hard to sell. I’m asking the fellow Jeep people..if you were looking for a Jeep like mine knowing what you know about suspension and what it’s worth, what would you pay for it. I know the dealership will give an insulting offer.

I would look at KBB private party value and go from there. Just my two cents. The mods aren't going to bring much, if anything. Good luck with your sale.

Just a casual glance through this thread and I came up with, no they will only pay pennies on the dollar for what your mods cost. Either they don't trust the mod installation or they don't particularly like the mod combination, and that the best you could hope for is about 25 cents on the dollar recoup or find that needle in a haystack buyer that want's exactly what you have. Just my opinion of reading through the thread. Now go ahead and list it for what you want and see if you get any bites. If not then your going to have to lower the price and your expectations.

You better sharpen your knife if you're looking to split hairs like that. And get just the right buyer who's willing to split hairs with you.

As someone else said, your mods are yours and don't really bring value to another buyer unless they just so happen to be looking for those exact mods.

Based off what I’ve looked at nation wide. Under 40k is a stretch esp as an out the door cost
I got my 25 Base Sport Max Tow otd for 43.5, tax, title, license included. Thats from Koon's in Virginia at 8.3% below invoice.

I know it stinks, but the additions and modifications you've made are probably a wash, if not a direct detractor for many buyers. Especially to those buyers not mechanically inclined, mods are potential issues not covered under a warranty and that can be scary.

Maybe looking at the sale price (not FOR SALE price) of new 24s, and listing it as a ready to roll vehicle priced similar to that? Kind of like those dealer equipment packages with wheels and lift included? I'm sure the stuff you've put on is higher quality than theirs, and if you can talk a buyer through the benefits you might have a taker.

Good luck either way and I hope you're still enjoying this amazing jeep truck! ✌

I bought a new sport s that came with leather seats with overland stitched into the seat under the head rest. Why, idk. I didn’t ask the dealer why I got nicer leather seats than a sport. Is this a better non deuchy response ?
Douchey*
Deuchy sounds vaguely German.

I have to ask, are you carrying a lot of revolving credit debt on the mods you have put on with hopes to recoup that with any eventual sale? Similar question with the Gladiator, if you were to get current market trade in value, would you be upside down?

Sometimes the realities of a bad math problem can make people agitated.

Any offer you get will be insulting to you. Any serious buyer is going to start with the new ones at the dealer and see where the pricing is at. People turn to the private market looking for a better deal. Anyone can put in the VIN number and pull up a copy of the window sticker. Any offers you get will come in way below the MSRP of what it listed for when new. That's just how the vehicle market has always been. The Covid craziness changed things for a little while and set some unrealistic expectations that some still cling to.

Offers from people that are familiar with the Jeep market, like those here, will be even lower. They are suspicious of the quality of any work they did not do. Any changes to the suspension will raise a lot of doubt about issues down the road, especially with any lift over 2 inches. I feel bad for you, if you are in a position where you have to sell. It's not going to be easy.

This thread has gone on a long time for what it's worth. I am guilty too by adding posts somewhat beyond what the OP asked for. Which was... "What is his/her JT worth"? Asked to Jeep JT people.

Bottom line is,: It is worth what you can get for it. Advertise it for what you need out of it. And if you financed a 2024 and with today's Stelantis issues... it doesn't look good.

And considering it's a 2024 that the OP sunk a bunch of cash money OR credit card debt into for mods. And considering that Jeep is cutting prices these days to unload the dealer lots. It is not a good time to sell a used 2024. Or ANY JT for that matter.

But, OP, don't feel alone. I paid about 63K US out the door for my 2021 loaded Mojave in 2021. And that was 5K off MSRP. I thought that I got a deal! LOL. My JTM is soon paid off but I will probably keep it until I die because it hurt so much to buy it. My JT Mojave cost me more than any brand new 3/4 ton 4WD Ford Super Duty that I have EVER bought. And I've bought 3 of those in the past several years. Call me a fool but I do like the Gladiator.

But, I digress....

It's only worth it if you can afford it. Baby needs new shoes and food on the table before the bad ass Gladiator rig gets a payment.

I could probably buy a new 2024 Mojave for 45 grand or so, or less ,today in 2025. Hindsight is 20/20.

Dump it, let them repo it if money or job loss is the issue. It's just a truck. It's just a thing. Your well-being, stress and family livelihood is #1.

I know the dealership will give an insulting offer.
And most of us have a pretty good idea what that insulting offer would be around.

The answer has been given by a couple of pages worth of people so far but you just don’t like it. Put whatever price you want. We won’t be surprised if you don’t get $50k.

KBB Charleston zip code, since your profile says SC, 24 Sport S standard equipment 14000 miles very good condition private party $37,000 average estimate. Trade in average about $34k and because I’m an experienced buyer I know you’d be lucky to get offered over $31k right now so I’d think $35k was more realistic for yours before upgrades.

Now if I know around what those mods would cost I figure $4000 - 6000 for upgrades that are now used and would make the Jeep not be covered under Mopar factory warranty for most of the things that might go out during the warranty coverage period. So $40k is a friendly offer. But you’re thinking that’s $10k into lowball territory. So here goes…

So gears are a couple grand installed. Maybe more, maybe less depending on the shop. Lift is ballpark $7000 all in for the top level Clayton lift package installed if thats the one you got. Add a couple grand for rims and tires unless you thought a $5k tire and rim package was a good deal. Add some cosmetic bits and steering upgrades. So maybe you’re in the neighborhood of ten grand if your frugal shopper, maybe higher if your not. Your loss not mine. All of the above is now used parts on a used vehicle that is now not likely to get warranty coverage for anything that fails that could even be remotely considered related to the modifications.

I’m speaking from experience having sold six moderate to heavily modified Jeep, Wranglers and XJ’s, in the last twenty years.

So… numerous posters here have tried to answer your question. You just don’t like the answer. So list it for $50k. Hell ask $60k if you want. Maybe a Nigerian prince will buy it.

Curious on private party value. I’m not trading.
Thank you

IF YOU END UP PUTTING EVERYTHING BACK TO STOCK, I think I am willing to buy most of the stuff like the lift kit, wheels tires if those are 37's, gears etc etc. Just wanted to throw it out there.
