How has this been working for you?
Great, there is a small stainless plate that covers the pin you attach it with that has some rust stains (no pits or real rust just that rust stains stainless some times gets). Rest of it looks basically new despite being in the Florida sun for over a year and a half.

I've done a number of recoveries with it as well including some really heavy pulls of framed out trucks in mud pits and it just pulls right along.

I guess the first question is if you just want a shackle that is strong, US made and functional.

Or if you want a piece of Jeep jewelry.

Of course soft shackles are just as strong and safer, but I know nothing about them.

Once you go soft shackle you'll never go back to d-ring. Rhino USA and gear America both have reasonably priced soft shackles that have been well tested. Only knock is they're not US made.
