Wife's been driving my Gladiator Overland (ordered 5/19, built 6/19, delivered 7/19) for the past week and a half while her '19 GC Ltd. is getting repaired after hitting a deer.

So, this morning she sends me a pic of the drivers side visor and, it's busted...it appears to be broken where it attaches to the ceiling.

I almost never used it so...there it is.

My turn. Hope it's not too expensive to fix....
My wife broke my passenger side visor. She thought she could move it down when fully extended. Aside from that they've been fine.

My 2020 Overland had the same problem. Broke in the same spot. Bought the same clips off of Amazon. Worked like a charm. O issues since.

The visor brace kits work well and are cheap. Mine has been solid ever since I fixed it with an Amazon kit.

Looks good but, that's not where the visor broke...this is the pic my wife sent to me when she got to work...it looks like the 'hinge' itself broke. With the internal wiring, looks like it's a job for the stealership ☹ ☹ ☹

That will fix perfectly fine with the Amazon solutions. I did the same. Mine was close to that bad. Here’s the product I used.

So maybe a preventive measure... install them even before the visor breaks?
Yeah my passenger broke looked at the shitty built setup and instead of having bad product put back on under warranty I got brackets that cost like $10 at the time. Put it on drivers side just as a preventative afterwards. Been there for nearly 3 years no issue since.

Well, installed the Amazon kit and voila...IT WORKS

All fixed. Took me about 10 minutes. The hardest part was wrangling that visor to behave while I did the install.

Thanks to youse guys for all the advice and tips 👍👍👍

I bought these a week after I got my JT and installed them as insurance.
There's been so many posts about the visors breaking over the years I've been here that I thought everyone knew by now to buy a set and install them. It's one of the first things I installed on my second Gladiator, and I rarely use the visors.

We should maybe ask to sticky the preventative fixes to address Jeep's factory short comings.

The sun visor, rear sway back bracket and the rear window leak come to mind as very, very common issues that the aftermarket has answered way better than MOPAR has in the 4 years+ the JT has been in production and 6+ years the JL has been as well.

This happened to my driver side visor, on the way to a Jeep Jamboree last year. Dealer repaired under extended warranty when i got back. Seems like it's a recurring issue.

Anyone that buys a JL/JT, I tell them to order these and install them even if they don't need them yet because they eventually will.

I pulled mine down not long after I bought it, and did the snap ring trick from the back side. 26,000 miles and 4 years later, no more problems.
