Eventually ill get time to sort through all my video but this Moab trip was my favorite in > 20 years of Jeeping.

Was this Mob Moab? Did you happen to be around when Silver Britches flopped on it's side during the Pritchett run?

I did Moab run for the first time last month as well. Amazing trail. I’ll definitely do that one again.

Yes it was Mob. I didn’t run pritchet. Too many ledges to do without lockers and too many jeeps to pull cable like 15 times. I did see the video of it though.

I needed to winch going up at the z turn on moab rim but otherwise I managed just fine outside me really not liking looking down at the river. My jeep is way too tippy right now.

That’ll change very soon though

I did Pritchett the day before I did the rim. Even with lockers, a big lift, and 37’s, I pulled cable three times. But I’m fine with winching. It was an amazing trail and I got through without damage or breakage.

Ive done it before in my old stretched tj on 40s
That jeep was the perfect rock rig besides needing a lot more motor when wheel speed was required.

I dont mind winching either but I counted past 35 Jeeps and knew even though some before and after footage of my jeep was wanted that it would just piss everyone else off

pretty soon ill have high clearance armor all around, fusion axles and 42s. I should start posting some frame teardown pics in a couple weeks.

Then I wont be concerned about being the guy holding everyone up all day on pritchet anymore

Sounds like a good call. I did it on a Thursday to avoid big crowds. I knew I’d have some trouble with some things.

I still cant say too much about what is being done to the jeep yet because its new and theres still some last minute R&D in the works but the who and the where has become pretty obvious as a result of this trip.

Ahh ok, yeah mostly was curious how your gladiator did, if you did run it.
The driver (Jesse) of Silver Britches and his wife are friends of mine.
Did you see 'Waylon'? He was the silver JT on 42s w/ basically a homemade flat bed.

Do you think any modifications could be done to get around winching those times? I don't mind winching, we pulled cable at Turkey Bay yesterday, when one of our guys was playing and got stuck on a tree.
Just curious if 40s or something else might have helped ease through those spots.

No problems on chewy, sluice, and several others. I think I could have gotten rocker knocker with a few more tries. I had the clearance, just not the perfect line. It was as close though. Axle hill was a belly issue, but it was so close to working. I was at the very top with my bumper directly over the winch point. The guy with me in the other gladiator made it with 40’s, barely. One more inch and I’d have made it. But I still consider myself to have made it. I set it up to handle that trail without breaking parts. I scratched it he rear driveshaft, but didn’t do anything more than cosmetic. It’s still balanced at 80mph. I hesitate to go too big on tires, as I still use it to tow our small camping trailer, and I’d like to be able to continue that. But I’d definitely consider 38’s if they are available in a tire I like. But that’ll only be when these are done, and they’ve got a long way to go yet. Here’s a video my friend took of me attempting axle hill. I really thought I had it.
