Unpopular opinion:

Trim levels in Jeeps are not worth the money. Falls more on the levels between Sport and Mojave and Rubicon. Basically Sports plus stuff. And even Rubi/Mojave the components used are inflated prices. Mopar e lockers are made in China They all share same engine, trans and TC,

If you are not cutting, welding, grinding and painting you are not building anything. You are swapping or adding parts. More so if you pay a shop to do it. I put a lift on my Jeeps, That's it. Building insinuates fabricating. I have the same take on AR15 "builds" At least Jeeps has variety.

The fact that some Jeep people think that everybody has $10,000 or more to drop on making mods to their Jeep.

The fact that some people are WAY too obsessed with making mods to their Jeep. To the point where I would be divorced for bankrupting our family, if I were to try to do the same.
this makes me feel guilty.

Don't feel so bad. I sure wish I had the money to do all of those things, but I stay happy knowing that maybe someday I'll be able to do a few things with the old girl. It's just frustrating when you see these guys ripping their engines out and putting in a Hemi, or jacking it up 12 inches and putting 44 inch tires on....

When you take a JT sport, lift it and put bigger tires and wheels on it, it's still the 16" steel wheel base model, you bought for $30k... let that hate flow through you !
How would one fit 16 inch wheels on a gladiator? My 17s barely clear. Sport wheels are the same size as Rubicon and Mojave, 17x7.5

*corrected post after wheel size inaccuracy
What exactly are you saying here? I’m sorry I’m just confused with the phrasing I guess

Depends what you do with your Max. I've seen some guys tow/haul some stuff with their Max that the extra tow rating or payload would be warranted. If I didn't have Max payload, I would have made my son use his Ram to do this.....
20220730_084915.jpg

5.5hrs each way, to Drummond Island and back
My thoughts were that the difference of a couple hundred pounds of payload/towing capacity between a MaxTow and a Rubicon were because of the extra weight of the Rubicon options? So in the end, the GVWR/GCWR of the two would be the same. Any modifications and extra weight added would not change the GVWR but would change the payload capacity.

Wait, nope not looking for a discussion.
Gotta agree with @I'mBack on this thread, it was interesting in the beginning.

it’s perfectly fine to put a tent on the ground.
Not only do we have a 3 person tent, we have an 'SUV' style tent where you can seal it around the back of a vehicle and open it to the lift gate, and yet wife had to have a RTT.
