That "poor design" has been in use for years. It's just that the buyers have changed and demand these to be more like a Grand Cherokee or better.

It happened with other Jeeps in the 90s - people who wear suits and ties started driving them to work and complained about noise, so they had to work to quite down Jeep engines and Jeeps in general.
The JK's for sure didn't have anything to stop it. Water just ran off the end of the drip rail and dripped on the floor when you open the door. From '07-18.

Heck mine would drip on the floor even with the door shut on some days, lol.

Anyway, my '22 has a small bit of rubber in the corner like ShadowsPapa posted to prevent this.

You really could have posted that 2 weeks ago (in my case)since you only fix poor design quality under warranty.

The TSB originally came out in December 2021 - maybe earlier. For whatever reason they decided to post a reminder, but it isn't a new occurrence.

Mine is a 2022 and it does it, and Im hating it. Runs right into the floor board after you open the door. If its a TSB I want it fixed....

Thanks for issuing a TSB after many/most are out of warranty.....
I'm sure Jeep just discovered this problem.....

The TSB was released in December of last year. This thread is a reminder as we have seen some conversation surrounding the concern. If you are currently experiencing what is mentioned, feel free to send us a private message.

I have a '22 with "the fix" . Water still drips inside right onto the door sill panel and/or your leg. I'm sure it works to some degree though comparatively.
Nothing is a perfect solution. My 2022 has the upgraded a-pillar seal to aid in the "redirection" of water coming from the roof channels. Water doesn't pour onto my floor but may drip occasionally. I usually clear my roof channel with my hand before I open the door if caught in a downpour.

Well I'm way past that mileage. Probably another reason, I just pull floor drain plugs as a first thing.

So why are they so quite about it? Is it a requirement to check with a dealer every few weeks to see if there is anything going on with a $50K vehicle
