No worries. Hoping some of this trickles down to the gladiator soon. The full floater is a nice touch, but the gladiators really need a better gas engine too.
Just watched this interview of head of Jeep by Total Recon dude. Sounds clear to me that we should only expect Jeep to push out an additional 4xe drive train into the Gladiator and nothing more.

It was very interesting listening to the AEV founder talk about what they had to do, and what seemingly small changes would require expensive testing for the ZR2 Bison. Since it's an OEM package, not aftermarket, even what is thought of as an "easy" change, like bumping up tire size over the standard model, could be several millions in retests.
Exactly my points for a couple of years. I've got info on some of the stuff they have to file every year.

Guess you haven't paid attention........
And that's just your opinion, nothing more. The masses, the majority, don't want it. There's tons of 392 equipped Jeeps out there unsold.
If you want Jeep to survive, skip the 392. Besides, that's the past and the hemi is old news, not the future.
They have EPA and CAFE to satisfy.
well tell that to AmericasMost Wanted. They have a 6 month waiting list for hemi powered Gladiators right now with owners throwing down $35k on top of the cost of a new Gladiator for a 392 gladiator conversion. I was quoted 6-9 month wait for hellcat conversion.
clearly there is a demand. Maybe you don’t want a hemi but there are those of us who enjoy the sound and feel of a hemi.
More importantly a hemi isn’t stressed towing a 3500lb trailer. several JL owners on their forum are complaining their 4XE towing less than 3500lbs is stressing the engine and sounds like a sewing machine running at high rpm trying to maintain highway speeds when towing. More over they are getting less than 10 mpg. I pull a 6k trailer with my power wagon that has a 6.4 hemi. I never dip below 12mpg even in the mountains with a 7000+lb truck. My 800hp trackhawk still has factory cylinder deactivation and gets 18mpg on road trips. And most importantly to me: the kiddos love full throttle burnouts ?
I don’t know any adults saying things like “i remember the time dad got great mpg when I was a kid” ?
to each their own

Wow. They addressed many of the issues.

Side curtain airbags are a big deal. it brings the model into the mid 2000s as far as that goes. As someone who has been T boned, I can tell you they can make a huge difference.

welp, glad I haven't decided to buy anything. Since they're managing to increase towing capacity of the wrangler Im wondering if they will with the JT.

I'm a fan of the technical improvements (airbags, Willys rear locker, free float axle) but man I hate the aesthetic choices. That grille is awful, the stitched dash is ugly, and that screen is a crime. BUT I'm also one of the weirdos who ordered a Jeep with no power anything and the 5 in radio because I hate that modern tech junk.

And the new grill too
And the dashboard ???
Seriously lol. I've been thinking about how viable the screen/dash swap would be. It would have to involve rerouting the air vents, a ton of wiring, and software changes.

I have no doubt that if you give some of the apes on this forum enough time they will come up with a "how to" on swapping it out that will be just easy enough for most of us to mess up.

I just herd that Jeep is killing the antenna on the cowl and putting it in the front windshield for 2024.
Because the antenna gets caught in trees.

Apparently no one noticed that in the past 70 years?

So instead of a cheap antenna and windshield replacement found in any small town; now it will be an expensive hard to find windshield replacement.

Way to go marketing money makers!
In EU we are currently waiting several months and pay 1600 Euro to replace the normal windshield. (the gorilla one is on indefinite backorder, dealer suggests 6+months wait and the price is uncertain)

I think what jumps out at me is that he has locked everything and sway bar disconnected at that speed ? sounds dangerous
Not on the dragstrip. It would be fine.

I was just going to post this lol. That was my assumption way back when these discussions happened - it makes more sense with how various gov regs are being directed. Hopefully there is a good payload option, but with the class of truck the Gladiator is, it's probably not going to be great. There is a great bit of discussion at 12:45 that a lot of folks probably don't think about a whole lot.

It was also cool to hear their bit on closure of roads and trails around 18:45 although I think personal opinions of them may be a littler stronger than displayed.

A new trail-ready stealth antenna integrated into the front windshield replaces the previous steel mast antenna, streamlining Wrangler’s appearance and eliminating brush or tree limb snags on the trail.

Darn, no more antenna mods. ?
Until you get to start replacing the windshield which will double in price due to the ‘new’ integrated antenna. :CWL:

Is it me or is the new grille pictured on I believe a 392 Wrangler actually hav the two outside slots solid and area under headlights looks to be solid also. I don’t mind the new grill sort of starting to lose the seven slot thing and looks like a big black grille but if the areas mentioned were open to airflow would seem smart, solid areas is just styling and doesn’t improve anything….Jack
