4.10s and 35's here.
Although id like to see 8th more often it depends on your speed/rpms.
At 55 mph youll kick out of 8th at the slightest grade as you just dont have the rpm's.
65+ mph is much easier to keep 8th for the most part.
overall id say its fine. I wouldnt dream of 4.10s and 37s though.

Hello, I am a relatively new Gladiator owner. Wound up getting a mojave because it was easily the most appealing unit on the lot and the shocks and upgrades to frame and suspension greatly appealed to me. Additionally I don't do any rock climbing anywhere near the scale of what I've seen in the US like rubicon. (The craziest stuff I get into is in British Columbia and I dont like to risk my daily too much).

Anyways, preface out of the way, what I've been trying to find out and haven't been able to find a consistent answer is if im going to need to regear if I upsize to 35s or not. I'd like to try to refrain from voiding warranty so I think it's technically possible to swap the 3.73s with 4.10s from a rubicon (I could be wrong) and stay within the means. Additionally I'm considering 2 possibilities, either going with procomp steelies and KO2s or keeping the oem wheels because they're quite nice actually, and mounting a narrower 35 (I seen another mojave on here with a specific one I wanted but I've already forgotten. )

I don't do any towing as I prefer tent camping, but could potentially see a rooftop tent one day as I would like an overland rack, but thats a whole other bridge that's to be crossed another time. Any advice and pointers would be appreciated, and sorry for the rambling.

Side note: I expect someone to ask why I didn't just get a rubicon, and to that I would say, it's easier to add rubi features to a mojave than vice versa. Thank you!
I have a Mojave on 35s. Drives great. No re-gear needed. No lift needed (already has 1" lift from factory and adequate fender clearance).

Having a hard time deciding on Toyo Open country's, KO2s, or Wildpeaks. They all seem like good options.
Any of the well known quality brands will provide good results with so many good choices available! I would add the newer Mickey Thompson Baja's to your list, more aggressive than the Toyo and Falken options with better siping for wet and snow than the BFG's.

I wish somebody would just make us all the happy middle 36x11.5 AT tire with a snowflake rating!!

I will be passing through Saskatoon next week on my way to Yukon! If you see a grey Mojave with a greyish canoe on the roof with Ontario plates, that's me!

Know any good overnight camping locations off the beating path in the area? Some mild wheeling with a few scratches, err memories perhaps that isn't risky considering I'm on a cross country drive with a scheduled shuttle to a remote canoe put in location in Yukon then up the Dempster in August!?

Great answer, I too am waiting for my 33's to wear out and will be going to 35's. Probably be a while since I have a 2021 JTM with less than 13,000 miles...
Same here. Waiting for my stock 33's to wear out then getting some skinnier 35's

I'll keep an eye out for ya, we've got twins haha. I'll definitely consider the Mickeys too, but that doesn't make my choices any easier haha.

As for camping around Saskatoon, there's not a whole lot of lesser traveled areas to be honest. Nisbet Forest on the way to Prince Albert is pretty nice I've heard but haven't been there myself. If you're coming from the east I would highly recommend checking out echo valley near Ft. Quappelle, probably the most gorgeous place in SK. If you want something a little more remote you'll need to go pretty far north in SK. What we lack in trails and landscape, we make up for in lakes though, and Manitou Beach near Watrous is quite nice especially this time of year. There's a reason most SK adventurers and campers I know all flock to Alberta!

Enjoy your trip though! Would love to go up to any of the territories one day. Have a few friends up there and from pictures seems like a beautiful area with lots to see.

No regear for me with 35's and I have 373 gears on my Willys (pretty much a sport s).

Do I notice a difference from stock 32's? Absolutely. Does it bother me? Not so much.

With 410's you'll be fine in my opinion.

Cheers!

2022 Jeep Gladiator Mojave. First Jeep.
Self ordered 2022 Mojave.
2” AEV with geometry correction brackets and 2 sets of 35s. I have/am still considered/ing re-gearing, but southeast Michigan is not overly hilly.
I just feel I should see 8th. gear a tad bit more.

Picture 1: Kenda Klever R/T 35x10.5x17 on Method 8.5” wide and 0 offset.

Picture 2: Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 255/85R17 (35x10x17) on OEM base Mojave wheels. These are my dedicated winter setup and it is an absolutely fantastic winter combination on these vehicles.
100% confidence in the winter time.

Regearing is going to depend on you, your driving style and region/terrain.

As unnecessary as it is, I still may…

I make cardboard boxes
I have toyo AT 35X11.5 on the oem wheels. No lift, no regear completely stock Mojave and it does great. I do occasionally tow and I don't notice any difference with the 35s vs. 33s.
Same exact setup here and I actually gained a 2 or 3 MPG increase and it feels like it has a little more pep. You experience the same? I know the stock Falkens were heavy, but?

I just upgraded to 37" BFG KO2 and haven't noticed any difference with gearing / pick-up. I'm sure it's there, it's just so negligible that it's not a big deal. I went 37" on stock wheels & stock suspension. Only had to cut off about 1" (20 seconds of work) of fender liner in order for it to not rub on anything.
