How was the install on those RC bed side molle panels? I read the instructions and I'm not a big fan of having to drill holes in the bed sides. I also looked at BA but they don't attach at the bottom, just rest against the sides with rubber bumper. Makes me wonder how secure they are and how much they flex away from the bed side. Couldn't find any reviews of those so I'm leery about getting those.

I have the rc molle bed panels. You will want to drill for the bottom mount. I tried them without when first installed and way too much rattle. Been bet happy with them after mounting properly.

Had no issues drilling the front and center sides of the bed. Where I had a problem was the rear most drill point next to the tail gate.

The way the L-brackets are shaped, you naturally want to place them horizontally, and that's what causes the following issue. There's a hardened steel support brace about halfway up from your marked drill point for a horizontally placed bracket. This ends up causing the drill bit to walk while you're drilling and you end up with a horrible oblong hole where your rivnut should be.

I got lucky and was still able to install the rivnut, but I recommend that for anyone else who is marking the drill points is to angle that rear most L-bracket about 30 or 45 degrees pointed downwards to avoid the brace so that the drill stays true.

Jcappy, just going to chime in here on the RC molle panels. I have them in my rubicon and as i recall, the install was very simple. In fact, i dont recall any drilling but maybe i just mis remember. I havent noticed any vibration or other issues with them.. i did drill holes in two of the mounting brackets to put in spring clips for my hydraulic jack handle but that was my option. I think i had some confusion on the brackets for the one at the front of the bed but nothing that was insurmountable.

Been a while though so i may be totally wrong but my recollection is that i hzd no trouble at all.

Great information. Is it possible that you count snap a pic of where you drilled that was an issue and point out where a better place would be to drill so I could avoid having issues? Didi you install molle panels on both bed sides and is that brace that caused an issue on both sides of the truck bed? Also I don't have a rivetnut gun but I have seen videos of people attaching them without the gun. How did you install yours? This is my first Jeep that I got 2 weeks ago. Big learning experience as my last truck mounted things much differently. Appreciate your help.

Installed a Curt receiver hitch today. Simple install, except I couldn't find a 1/2" Allen wrench and the 3/4-10 threads in the receiver were messed up. Lacking that size tap to chase the threads, I cut slots in a grade 8 bolt and made my own tap, which cleaned the threads up just fine. Then at a flea market this morning, I found the required Allen wrench (a set of allen sockets, actually) and got it on with no trouble. It did require drilling the very first hole in my new truck (a 2" hole in the plastic bumper cover).

Got a really smokin deal on a Sunrider from a local Craigslister for super cheap. Brand new in the box. I'm assuming this is a more recent version, as I didn't have to deal with any Z clips that some of the other members have. Perfect for the Socal weather!

You’ll love it as much if not more than any other mod. You’ve got the Jeep Oem version. I’m wondering if that’s the reason for no z clips. You could also be spot on, that it’s just newer. Mine was refreshed with the new cable setup after one cable broke. All under warranty, and easy to fix on the living room floor.

Just had a new CenterForce clutch installed last week and now about 400 miles into my break in. Unfortunately the master cylinder that came with the kit was defective so although my Jeep is driveable, I'll need to go back in to get the new master cylinder installed. I can definitely feel it too. Although the clutch engagement feels better than stock, the old master cylinder makes shifting tough at times, especially getting in and out of reverse and 1st from a stand still.

Shop said it was okay to drive it temporarily until the new part comes in. Hoping to have it this week!

Removed the 3/4" Daystar level and installed a 1.5" level (Amazon Terraflex 1.5" knockoff). Looks much better in my opinion. With the bumper and winch it sits about exactly where I want it to. Doesn't look too bad with 33's either, which is what my main concern was.

Replaced dead third brake light. ?

Purchased replacement light from AllMoparParts.com, and was a bit stunned by the lack of protective packaging. Light was stored inside the loose bag shown in the photo below, inside an otherwise empty box. No packing paper, peanuts, or bubblewrap. Thankfully the light worked after delivery.

It might be the picture, but I think your rear tires are a bit forward in the wheel well. If you have adjustable control arms, you can fox that easily. Maybe it’s an illusion. Height looks great!

Swapped out RC rear springs for some Rancho HD 3.5” springs and Grimm extended rear brake lines. Wasn’t happy with the RC since install. Only gave me about 2” lift compared to the 4” I got in the front with their 3.5” kit. Happy with their ride so far on an empty bed.

I did super boring stuff. My delicate sensibilities no longer allowed for the crooked fender Jeep logos from the factory. After marking for the new position, removed the passenger side, cleaned it up, and reinstalled the way I think it should be. Meaning I wanted the lettering to be parallel with the body line above the pinch weld. First picture is original. Second picture is now. Only the truly ocd members will even see it. I understand that I’m insane. I’m good with it.
