Hello, My retired firefighter friend and I discussed the glass in my Gladiator, and I cannot find an answer. Are the windows in the doors Tempered or Safety glass? It would be a nightmare to get in the backseat of a Gladiator after a collision and break a window to escape. He is telling me, that the government decided that Safety glass like the windshield, in the front doors, would prevent drivers and passenger from being ejected out of the vehicle in an accident. Isn't that what seatbelts are for. So, again, I cannot find a definitive answer and the dealership was no help. Anyone know?

Maybe @AllMoparParts.com knows. On Amazon, the OEM replacement is tempered.

I would think tempered glass. Looked at my gladiator, and it looks like a single sheet of glass. My car has safety glass on the sides and you can see two layers with something in between if you look at it from the side edge.

Pretty sure it is a federal law for automotive glass to be safety 'tempered' glass

Its a automotive tempered glass. Place a small pin headed hammer on it and it shatters into small pieces.

A tree limb works well for taking out those side windows too.

Yeah, don't ask how I know this.

So does the side of the head. Hurts like a bitch and STILL have to clean up all of those little pieces.

You will never find all of the little pieces.
