***UPDATE***
10:00 PM just got home with it. Very happy, power/torque is great, ZERO diesel fumes inside or out, I went and sniffed at the tailpipe while filling up, NO diesel smell at all, kinda miss my 2006 mega cab Cummins 300/600 loud Mack truck turbo sound and fumes though. This turbo is almost silent, but engine still sounds and pulls like a diesel which is fully BAD*SS!

First impression the steering is tighter, noticeably less wandering than my 2022 3.6 Gladiator had. My 2022 has Gorilla Glass windshield, the 2023 does not apparently, the decal isn't on there. Cloth seats in the 23' are not as comfortable as the genuine imitation leather seats in my 22', will be swapping those unless I can find a set of OME brown genuine imitation leathers somewhere.

I see the marketplace getting more and more entranced with big screens and extreme tech in the vehicles and more plush, luxurious interiors etc, but I wouldn't trade the diesel and the simplicity of analog gauges and basic 8" screen. My TRX had a 12" screen and I hated it, going through menus and dicking around with it while trying to drive was ridiculous, I never used 90% of those apps. So yeah I think the 2023 Gladiator is a great balance of useful easy to use tech, power, torque solid axle easy to drive and park, easy to mod and a badass stereo with great subwoofer (suggestion crank all Metallica from Master Of Puppets and Justice for thorough audio quality check and to gain full appreciation). Just all around fun truck. Thanks for the input everyone!
**UPDATE END**

The price is irresistible, NEW 2023 Gladiator/Rubi Diesel. $18,000 off MSRP

I have a gas Gladiator and love it, so much fun, I will never be without a jeep again but the Diesel. I want it bad Im not worried about DEF, but has Jeep massaged out the 3.0 issues for 2023?

They have a recall for the CP4 pump. Unknown if it "fixes" the issue. No clue if your 2023 will have it from the factory or not.

GET IT!!!! I'm loving my '22 JTRD. The recall should have already been done on it.

I gave up on diesels before they went ultra low sulfur. Knew it was going to open a can of worms.

The fuel pump in the 3.0 Gladiator is not designed to function with U.S. diesel. You need to increase the lubricity of the fuel and it has to be constant.

Personally, I wouldn't get one, they have no balls to them.

Almost 48k on mine would buy another just to have a spare and put it away for a later date!
Go for it! Got lots of torque.

I love my ‘21 HA diesel. Also, “no balls” and a diesel Gladiator do not belong in the same sentence. It’s no Corvette, but it’s got torque for days. It’ll absolutely push you back in the seat and has zero problems pulling hard right up to the 110mph speed limiter. I’d buy another in a heartbeat.

lol if you’re even considering it, drive it and you’ll understand.

Most of the 3.0 haters have never owned one or were a victim of the HPFP failure with a crummy dealer experience.

I have 26,XXX on mine with 0 issues - still waiting on the HPFP recall which should be done on yours already. I wouldn’t have gotten a JT with the 3.6 - less power than that of a turbo 4 banger and the MPG of a full size V8 pickup, might get the job done but just getting it done isn’t fun.

I just bought one and am considering getting another for my son. The fuel pump issue has been taken care of on the new 2023. Supposedly you no longer need to run the lubricant additives… i still do.
My son is taking my 3.6 Glad/Rubi in about 10 months. I picked that one up for 10,000 off sticker due to some hail damage. I found one ding later on, almost not noticeable, price was worth it and it was my first Jeep and there is no going back now. I used to be a Toyota (4Runner/FJ) modded fan, doing Ouray and Moab for the FJ Summits way back when and had so much fun, but I took the Gladiator out there and the way that Jeep just crawls up those mountains was a different experience completely. The Jeep fits those mountains more like a glove than my Toyotas ever did.

I test drove a diesel Wrangler last year and the torque is awesome in comparison to the 3.6. Assuming they got the hpfp worked out now, I'd get the diesel in a heartbeat, especially at $18K off MSRP.

I have a 21 JTRD and absolutely love it with 20,000 miles on it. Mine runs damn good too! Def is really not that big of deal or expense. Get it and the fuel at Costco.

Even though I had some "growing pains" on a brand new 2021 JTRD-- I wouldn't change my decision...
