Yep... basically all the enthusiast that are most likely to be involved in thefts drive manual Honda, Subaru, Toyotas, kia, Hyundai vehicles. They actually seek them out.
Driving a manual isn't the big secret everybody keeps thinking it is... now if your teaching your 15 year old, that's a different story.

There is a company making a lock box(cage) for the tazer... I'll try and locate it again.
It's been linked to and shown - If it's the one that was linked to in another "my Jeep was stolen" thread, it can be defeated without a whole lot of effort. (most thieves will either carry a pry bar or large screwdriver, as ways to open other stuff. One was shown in video with a backpack - likely full of tools)

Found the video link of the Dallas Wrangler. Sadly it wasn't just a Wrangler, it was also a 392 ?

I might be wrong... but I bet if his FOB was in a FARADAY pouch, they wouldn't have gotten it that easily. ?

Yeah, I wasn't promoting it.. I just didn’t see it mentioned.

Some folks seem to think because they have the Tazer/Pin they are safe.

Absolutely worth it. Thieves can find the plug easily enough but don't know what system the plug is using. Love mine which I had installed in my console box.

They watch the vehicle for routine parking and capture the code. Make a form of transmitter that I’m told will actually work with auto door unlock. Once they’re inside they just push the start button and drive off.

That's the nice thing about Revelco and along with Drone mobile X1.
By the time they enter the jeep and try to disable the Revelco I will get alerts on my phone telling me that there is glass braking or motion. And if it gets towed I can track it even if they disconnect the battery.
Its the layers of protection that I am hopping will defeat those ass holes

Years ago I was at a road race event and at the event hotel a guy had his v8 powered Jaguar XKE stolen from the parking garage, security cameras did not show the car leaving or a trailer capable of hauling it either. The car just disappeared. He had installed two switches on his electric fuel pump in two different locations, this effectively stopped the theft, the theves were not able to keep the car running long enough to leave the parking garage and had hidden the car behind some air conditioners in the parking garage and covered it with old carpeting where it was found a couple of days later

Won't matter - they can get in and program their own fob in about 1 minute.

Doesn't matter.
(for Jeeps it's almost always the starter circuit and fuel pump system)
Doesn't take any time to figure it out.
Even in a Ford, a Ford truck owner figured out how to start his truck as he says "in two minutes".
Ravelco is a fraud - do some real research. There are at least a couple of videos out there and multiple threads on vehicles WITH Ravelco installed, stolen in just a couple of minutes.

I've posted screenshots of the talk of actual thefts with the device properly installed. There's a guy who either has or is developing a unit to plug into the Ravelco and do the work for him - doesn't take a whole lot where there are only TWO circuits impacted.

There's several people who describe exactly how to do it.
First off - find the ground and ignore it, then you have only 2 circuits (4 wires) remaining.
Simple circuit testers can do the rest.
You can use software to watch the BCM and PCM monitor systems and clue you in on which aren't working as they should.
there are many ways to get around that 1970 tech.

There's a crazy long discussion on this and other thefts - WITH the Ravelco device......

There is no system that cant be bypassed
On my jeep they will have to get past 5 systems before it can be driven
I will be adding a 6th in the near future

You are the exception - (as seen in the quote below)
Too many rely on one or two things - and never get any alerts, never have a clue until they look and see nothing is there where they parked it.
None of these things do a bit of good if someone isn't told it's happening.
Seriously, your motion/glass detection and tracking are pretty much the best of anything you have installed.
People can get past the "no FOB" bit in a minute. People can get past Ravelco in about the same. Anyone GOOD with thefts can get past both in under 2 minutes - but the act of getting in will alert you so you know it's happening in real-time. Like so many other things - time matters. The faster/sooner you know what's going on, even if they get away with it, you know right away, not 6 hours later or when you finally wake up and decide to see if it's still there.

I will get alerts on my phone telling me that there is glass braking or motion. And if it gets towed I can track it even if they disconnect the battery.
My point is that Ravelco is a fraud.
You can do the same thing, only better, for a fraction of the cost, they lie on their web sites, so why would anyone support such a company? They claim no thefts and yet there are records of many thefts out there. (and several people have called the company only to be told off by a really nasty old fart if you even begin to suggest something is imperfect - some support)
There are far far better and cheaper ways to do what that "device" does, less easily found and gotten around.
But better yet is the alert systems that let you know if the thing is even being touched at all to begin with - then no matter how good the crook is, or what the other protections are - you stand a chance of stopping the theft or at least a great chance at recovery.

I haven't seen anyone with a CAN bus immobilizer in a jeep say theirs was stolen yet.
Do you have any info on CAN Bus immobilizers being beated?

No, I'm not that versed in the security system or how to defeat/secure it.

Just from what I have read here on the forum (and thats not everything) the tazer can easily be unplugged and its security benefits are lost. I'm sure you can hide it somewhere, but IMO most think tbey are safe with the pin # and wont hide it.

In a hypothetical world, lets say the pin was engaged and the theif couldn't/did not find the Tazer... then yes, they are going to have to tow it to get it.
