Published a GoPro video of my ride in the hills yesterday.
this one is going along the foothills and then over to the top of the hill.
I sped it up 2.5x to cut down on the boredom and cut out the sound.
I still need to find some good music to add and work on my production skills so any suggestions are welcome.

adding the trip back down the hill
Same stuff just downhill
That's a great way to spend a rainy day. The original sound wouldn't have been a bad choice to keep- you could call it "off-road Gladiator ASMR." ?

Thinking of the possibilities.
It was a lot of my wife and I talking and the radio in the background plus the bouncing noise from the terrain.

This morning I drove to the lumberyard for some plywood for an ongoing remodeling project. Then this afternoon, my son in law worked on repurposing an old swimming pool deck to make a lower deck... first we had to flip it over to cut the legs shorter:

Then after cutting the legs shorter, we used the Jeep to flip it back over again before sliding it up against the house where it will be a work platform to install a new slider door where the two windows are now.

Some 30 years ago I used my CJ5 to pull the front porch off the house, which was a lot easier than dismantling it in situ. Aren't Jeeps great?

We went to Ocotillo Wells yesterday for a one nighter.
We took the long way around to the camping area through The Slot and then through to San Filipe Wash that pretty much took us to our campground back on the other side of the highway.
I made a quick video (3mins) of the highlight of The Slot but it seems like a lot of the rougher pieces were filled with sand because I remember them being more defined on New Year’s.
Maybe it’s just me but it didn’t even make the ducks move.

I didn’t record the rest of the route because it was mostly just me passing the slow vehicles ( a Wrangler and a couple Hummers) and going through the wash at 60 mph to test my suspension since adding the lift and bigger tires. It rode pretty good. My wife had to catch the ducks to keep them from flying out the window.

I've previously reported that my JT Mojave Fox shocks were noisy just prior to the expiration of my B2B 3/36 warranty. Reported it to the Jeep dealer, and after 2 visits they agreed. They ordered me new replacements (took several weeks to receive all shocks/parts). Got them installed last Friday (4/5/24), under warranty, and guess what? No more creaks/squeaks. Happy customer.

I also recently installed a Bulletpoint mount for my iPhone. Looks good, positioned great, charges phone, more happiness. My satisfaction with the '21 Sarge Green JT Mojave remains steady  as I turned 37K on the odometer on the way home from church this past Sunday.

On Saturday we Drove 950 miles overnight from SoCal to Oregon to visit wife’s family and camp with my brother. We’ll be here for two weeks and plan on hitting the BOH Offroad trails in Tillamook State forest either tomorrow or Wednesday. Backup plan is for next Monday the 29th.
I was able to get in some fly fishing yesterday and this morning and caught some nice rainbows.

Today we went to Tillamook State Forest and drove 2 Badge of Honor trails, Cedar Tree and Firebreak #5.
it was a pretty good day. Good weather, good trails, and good wheeling.

I got both trails with my GoPro but will have to wait until I get back home to download them.

This is the giant Cedar tree that is on the trail.

Can’t wait to see the video. I used to make that run up the 5 twice a year, but I went an hour north of Seattle. As I get older, that run becomes a little less interesting and more of “can we just fly next time?” ?

Outstanding. Great view. How was firebreak? Any issues? It was a while ago, but someone once told me it was reasonably hard.
