I can’t stand these AI type voices anymore. 2025 we should see a refresh of some sort though.

My prediction is the 2025 model year will include the hybrid JT with about 22 miles of battery power and 500 pounds of payload capacity. There will be no significant changes over 2024, and no new engine options. The performance will be changed only by the boost from the electric motor. Everyone here, except those looking forward to the hybrid, will be disappointed and we will see endless threads bitching about it and predicting the cancelation of the JT.

I did not know the I6 was being used already, hopefully by ‘25 might have some of technical wrinkles ironed out that will pop up. What an increase to 420HP and back to an inline engine to boot. Plus LED package on everything also. Not big on LEDs but at least won’t be the crap shoot with aftermarket. Nice changes for sure, I never have figured out why JT trail behind the Wranglers so bad. Of course a base will cost $60 by then( god I hope not) if any of this is even legit.

None of your business :)
I mean the whole world is moving to hybrids and then full EV and these will be the ONLY drive train available on residentual vehicles. Heck...Europe already has EV trucks for years.

And EV means fully computer/chip intergration so almost everything will be a cookie cutter design of high tech digital dashboard, plethora of cameras front/back/inside, driver awareness stuff and streamlined body to meet the "future". And electric power means LEDs everywhere (low energy consumption for the battery).

And the main reason why I bought my oil burner as in next 5 years, people will be in shock to hear a Jeep with a diesel drive train. And I'm a EV owner since last Nov and while I love my IX, its instant power delivery, high tech digital dashboard, I'm not sold on EV yet ...nor hybrids. If anything, these things will become a disposable when ya are out of battery warranty (On the IX, if battery is effed up outside warranty, it's a $20k drop for a new battery). In summer, my range is like 340 miles...in winter with full 4 passengers, trunk load and cold temps, the range quickly drops to around 280miles and if going against wind drag, its around 250 miles. Short in town commutes is where EV excels. On freeway, rev up the speed past 70mph and the battery drain is a real thing.

My brother-in-law has a towing business and they tow EV vehicles (Tesla!) a LOT in winter cos people simply over-estimated the range. Not to mention, if there's a electric short, the whole vehicle is stalled. They've towed Chevy Volt and Mercedes EV with such issues. And the kicker is these new gen tech is only serviceable at the dealer...ya can't take a EV to a local mom-n-shop repair shop.

I have the best of both worlds right now and will keep it that way (my IX for intown commutes and Costco toilet paper runs and my Glady for longer road trips/camping, etc).

If they release a inline 6 Mojave that isn't ass, I'll convert back to stock and trade in on a end of year 25' or 26'

Yeah I might have too…..maybe. For what I use this truck for I’d get more out a turbo than NA 3.6. I don’t seriously wheel this thing enough, got other junk for that, but it does pull junk around a lot.

tbh I'd want it to cover bases lost doing a hemi swap. I don't want a lift, i don't want more weight, I don't want premium fuel only, I dont want ass range. hurricane done right will get me the performance i want out of Mojave Nomad build and preserve the factory feel and ride.

When I talked to the Jeep folks in Moab at EJS, part of the reason for the new grille in the '24 Jl/JT is to accommodate the need for better cooling for the 3.0l twin turbo Hurricane engines which we will see a version of in the 3rd Qtr of 2025 along with a Hybrid option 4xE package in the Gladiator. Not sure there is room in the JT, but the 2025 Ram 1500 Hybrid has the 3.6l Pentastar and not the 2.0l 4-cyl so there are other options available.

Could you Imagine how PISSED all the Wrangler guys would be if the JT got the 3.0L_TT before the Wrangler? ?
Slim chance of that, tho-

Zero chance it will be an EV unless there’s some kind of battery revolution in 1 year. A lot of companies are settling on hybrids following a range extender + power boost model. Mostly likely it will be a mild refresh, with a hybrid option. If it’s anything like what the Ramcharger promises, it won’t be disappointing.

Personally I’d be happy with an efficient I4 paired with a decent battery and motor that has EV, extended range and maximum power options. I don’t need the 663 targeted Ramcharger HP. This EV muscle car bs really misses the point. But any permutation of small engine + motor + battery is basically an off the shelf parts build and the direction hybrids are all going. Plus you can power all your overlanding crap without the need for aftermarket modifications. It’s a no brainer for a Jeep.

P.s., these AI generated videos are a huge and growing problem, along with AI review sites, AI reviews, AI news articles, AI driven junk product mills on Etsy, etc. This is the single greatest commercial use case for generative AI, frictionless mass spam content generation. Next is the complete replacement of humans in tech support and customer service. Don’t get distracted by some of its mild utility. AI has already fully become, and was always intended to be, a tool for corporations and by extension crooks, to boost profits by supplanting employees. The fact that AI produces high quality audio and visuals but important often low quality actual content doesn’t matter. It’s good enough for them. But it’s going to make consumers lives a lot less pleasant by increasing your friction in getting any kind of support for the products and services you pay for.

Hopefully they figure out some issues with it before we see it in the JT/JL. Looks like most issues being encountered now require the body to be removed off the wagoneers…. With even less space in our platform I would imagine that it wouldn’t be much different for us.

The Wrangler will get another two engine choices, more factory gearing and tire options, and the ability to order all options ala carte. The Gladiator will get another color choice, Chartreuse, and a simplified two option ordering scheme. You can order either a heat, keys and hand crank model, or a monster all option AEV build. The Gladiator Willys will also lose another 300lbs of payload because Stellantis feels 800lbs is too much.
