I installed the Synergy springs, I set the upper control arm length so that I had 7.5 degrees of Caster according to doing the "home alignment". The reason I did not got to 6 degrees is I am getting spring bow with the 7.5, when I go down to 6 the spring bow is worse. I know this is not the same as doing it on an alignment rack, but it is the best I could do at home. I will take it to an alignment shop to get the actual numbers.

Impressions:
The Synergy springs ride WAY better on the street than the Claytons in my Mojave. My Mojave has a 3 piece Rubicon steel bumper and skid plate and Fox 2.5 Elite shocks and no AUX battery. So I really don't have a lot of extra weight up front. These are the -30 springs and the Clayton springs were the 2.5" lift springs. The Claytons springs had about .25" to .40" more lift than these do. I have the 1.5" rear Clayton springs in it. The truck has very little rake. BUT the Clayton rear springs definitely have to be changed, they ride to harsh. I don't have any weight in the back.

Will I keep the Synergy springs, NO. I am going to put XR springs in the front with a spacer. I am not sure what springs I need to put in the back...

Thanks for sharing and glad you got it back together and functional.

My front end is a little heavier given I have a winch and the aux battery. With the 8863-30's in the front and Clayton 1.5s in the back, it sounds like I'd have a little more rake than you, and I do want a little since I'll be towing.

Not sure what to think of the stiffer ride with Claytons in the rear but I have both sets of springs in the garage so I'll be giving it a shot. I was hoping to hear that the ride was improved enough that you didn't mind the 1.5s in the back!

Any chance you have a driveway photo to compare to what the stance was like with the Claytons?

I think it looks fantastic.

It does make me think I might want to do the 2" springs with a spacer since I'll need a little rake for towing. Hmmm.

Couple more questions... and if you're tired of discussing feel free to tell me to pound sand.

First, why don't you want to keep the springs? Is it due to the difficulty getting caster where it needs to be? I'd think you could just go with 2" Synergy rear springs and call it a day.

Second, would you be willing to measure ground to bottom lip of fender on front and rear? I realize this won't be perfectly apples to apples, but I think it would help me reconcile the effect on your JTR with what I'd expect to happen on mine.

Thanks again for sharing your work.

I just swapped out the Clayton 1.5" rear springs for the Mopar 2" lift rear springs. It sits about the same as before and rides better.

Now I am just waiting for the Mopar 2" lift fromt springs to come in ...

I live in Point Pleasant Beach, but in Florida right now ,I will be in town at the end of the month.
Do you want the matching rear springs also? They are the 1.5" Clayton. Basically the 2.5" fronts with the 1.5" rear make the Gladiator sit level. You can have the back too if you are going to use them ..

Reading all this it sounds like I should just keep my Mopar 2 inch lift springs and be happy. Maybe add a 1/2 inch spacer front and rear for a little more spring travel before bottoming. My Mopar springs really have no bow in them and ride OK. .

I have tried the Clayton and Synergy, ai am tired of changing springs.
I bought a High-Tide JLU for my wife. It came with the XR suspension, it rides great. That is why I decided to try the Mopar 2" lift springs, I couldn't be happier.
