In the case of some asses moldy air could be an improvement.

Here is my point said a different way. If you have been following the forum for a bit. I would say at least 50% of the talk is about how high the price will be. Come on Jeep don't price truck buyers out and so on. (especially true when we haven't had leaks for a bit). If price really is such a concern I am now confused as to why the big push/disappointment around the JT/JL not having vented seats. Are vented seats nice? I honestly don't know as I have never had them, but for my money I can think of about 1000 other features that I would like to have/keep that make a Jeep special and vented seats just isn't one of them.
Just because they ADD options dosen't mean the price HAS to go up. Jeep Wranglers are some of the most highly profitable vehicles on the market. This means even with incentives of 5% below invoice they are still making a killing. They could add options and make them inclusive of other packages without raising the prices, but I sure the wont.

So... the current Rubicon doesn't get an upgrade to FOX right? Do you think this will be a "Baja" bundle or some sort of suspension upgrade option beyond standard Rubicon? Or do you expect that the Rubicon Truck will just have FOX instead of standard shocks?
Really cool either way! :rock::rock::rock:

Like Homerun said, if you are worried about not having air conditioned / vented seats on a vehicle that was designed to have its interior rinsed out with a water hose, can I respectfully suggest that you are almost certainly looking at the wrong vehicle...

Heated seats I can almost understand if you live in a very cold climate. This can be added for <$150 if you know how to do a little wiring and willing to learn some basic upholstery work.
I disagree vehemently - heated and ventilated seats dramatically increase the temperature range that I can convince certain family members to drive topless. They can also make a difference at the extremes for me - I’ll still go topless but will suffer a bit less.

Topless vehicles are where ventilated and heated seats give you the absolute most bang for the buck. In a glass bowl, you can just wait 2 minutes for the cabin air to heat/cool, but in a Jeep driven properly, that air is always ambient temp.

Dude, you just successfully convinced me of the value of such things... they always seemed so superfluous and a waste of money unless you live in the great white north. While I"m not sure I'll check that box in the list of options... I'll at least consider it now. =oP

@drogers I agree with eternus that you make some very good points. Especially about the heated seats which I was never really questioning. While I am still not convinced I need vented seats you defiantly gave me some things to think about.

You have to beg family members not to take the topless vehicle??? It's the other way around for me...kids only want to the open top. But I'm often wind blown or sun baked enough from earlier drives to suggest we take something else.

Heated seats I understand in cold climates. It's an electric grid under the seat cover with no moving parts.

Vented seats I don't get in any climate. There's moving parts etc to break. It would be like putting electric seats in it. But I'm also an old school CJ7 guy that drove black vinyl seats in the heat and humidity of South Louisiana summers with maybe a bikini top to keep the direct sun off me. It doesn't get much hotter or humid worse than that...

Plus I have vented seats in my current daily and am just not all that impressed. I think manufacturers do it to make you think the vinyl seat you are sitting on (instead of leather) isn't all that bad.

Forgive me for not reading back through. Have we heard Fiat say "Gladiator" lately? I'm really hoping "Gladiator" isn't the name on this vehicle and kinda vomit in my mouth I type in the URL to come back here every day.

I’ll be a bit disappointed if it’s NOT Gladiator. I’m Ok if there is a special edition Gladiator Gladiator.

I think I'd opt for the 3.6L V-6 gas engine and go with the four door model!

Gladiator obviously makes more sense but I'm not sure it's as marketable as Gladiator. I just wish they'd gone with the 715 styling instead of straight JL.

I just hope Mopar or the aftermarket offer products that allow bed mounting like the M715. I know I've said it before but I fell FCA is missing something big if the bed lacks some of the military design queues and utility.

Must not be a child of the '80s... Lol.
Actually, totally a child of the 80s, but never really liked the Gladiator name, not then so not now. If I picked a favorite name of a past Jeep truck... it'd be the Honcho.

All that being said, after meditating on this... I suppose I don't care that much. I NEVER refer to my Jeep as a Wrangler and I always assume if someone says they own a Jeep they mean Wrangler anyway. Push comes to shove, I just return to what is properly an 80s jeep reference... my first was a CJ7 so this will just be a JTU or whatever letter code they call it.
