Considering this as well. Any estimate on how long it would take to undo it and put the seat back in?

I removed the 60% rear seat and the entire area is now a dog area. Fridge is in the rear with my Bluetti.

I'd say I could remove my rear seat platform and put the rear seats back in, in about 15 minutes. It is actually quite easy. The hardest part is some (4) of the seat bolts have to be wrenched all the way in and out the others go in and out with no effort. And the seats are not really that heavy because of the 60/40 split.

Same for me, quite easy, I did the 60% delete and it was fast to switch after setting it up the first time. Probably only a couple minutes putting the seat back in.

My setup in the bed had me wanting to put fridge at the rear seat since I sleep in the bed when I go camping. Didn’t take long at all. Maybe less than 8 working hours just a lot of back and forth checking each fitment. Only had to make one actual wood cut and fit on the first try.
Nice work! I deleted my 60% and put in a 55L fridge on that side. What's nice is weight-wise you can break even with a delete + fridge. My 60 seat was right near 60lbs when I weighed it.

I’m debating on making one for that side too. Once the hard work of making boards is done, really less than half hour to unbolt and put seats back into place. Just four bolts per side. I didn’t reuse the stock bolts because I raised the rear portion to be level with the under seat storage container.

If you have any woodworking skills this is the way to go. Takes about 45 minutes to take out seats and install platforms or to remove platform and install seats. I have mine up higher at top of cargo net on the doors so that I get more storage space underneath. I have made side panels so is an enclosed storage space(not shown in these pictures).

My rear passengers are the family dogs for most trips. If I need space for humans I can install seat or seats as needed. Plus think about the 1500 or more so you saved by doing this yourself. 3/4 inch cabinet plywood was my choice for the build with 2x4 supports in the front( I don't even have to remove them when taking out they stay on the platform piece as it fits thru the door opening ;) ). I built it as a single platform before I modified it into the 60/40 configuration. I am very satisfied with the way it turned out and how much I saved by DIY vs finding something to meet my particular needs.

For the rear supports I used 2x4 pieces mounted onto Simpson L brackets. The platform screws into threaded inserts in those 2x4s. I also have US Cargo Tie down insert L track strips and the rings for when I need to secure items like a Fridge or other bulky items. underneath the platform where the tracks are there is a piece of 2x4 to provide the necessary reinforcement to provide support.

I went ahead and did the other 60% but I didn’t go all the way forward so I could still tuck the Jackery. I can travel with more of the essentials inside up front.
I used birch this time. Smoother wood for sure and it is lighter. But almost double the cost. Looking at the bigger picture I still saved hundreds if not thousand dollars just doing this and I can still reinstall the seats back in by just doing the four bolts

cut another piece and went with 3/4” birch plywood so I could recess all the hardware. I added more d rings to hold down cargo from going everywhere when driving on trails. And made a trap door to access storage underneath

Awesome! Is there anyway I could get the measurements from you? Looking at doing the 40% this weekend.

Throw the seat in the back of the pickup bed…that’s what it’s supposed to be used for.
