I have had the AccuAir system installed on my JTD for about 5k miles now, and I love it. It's fantastic for towing and hauling heavy loads; the ride is nice, too. Best of all, I can park in parking garages when traveling!

Pro-Tip: Get a second compressor and immediately buy the compressor rubber/spring mount kit from AccuAir.

I'm including a few photos of the Gladdy with the kit. I mounted the controller where the factory Alpine sub was (replaced by the Kicker 10")

To anyone who has the kit installed, have you run into issues with dealer diagnostics through the OBD2 port? I've found the dealer cannot connect to the system with the Mopar VCI and I am also unable to communicate with my Mopar MicroPod. I'm trying to diagnose the issue and AccuAir support is worthless and arrogant.

Does the AccuAir system top out like the Jeep QuadraLift system? My WK2 would top out over small things like speed bumps and it made an awful sound and feeling when it did. Didn’t seem to hurt it, but it was harsh. Curious if this is a symptom of all air suspensions or just the Jeep QuadraLift.
I have not experienced the "Top out" issue you've described

I spoke with AccuAir at Overland Expo and they knew exactly what I was talking about with the QuadraLift top out. They said their system doesn’t do it, of course right? Range Rover had a similar problem with their first gen air suspension, but fixed it in a subsequent redesign.

Carl, Any luck in resolving the MicroPod issue?

Bought the gas kit to use on my EcoDiesel durring the blackfriday deal! I'm keeping my spare will be mounting the tank under my EGR rollatrac tonneau cover storage box. Compressor and other parts will go in the belly. Went with the upgraded JRi piggyback adjustable shocks. Also went with the upgrade ENDO VT billet tank with the solenoids intergraded. It will be a very clean install with the rest the of parts in the belly. They did other updates to the kit so should be pretty sorted.

@DC3 I have the rock slide engineering step sliders, I didn't want to constantly air down and up getting in and out. Is that why you ran 2 compressors for the constant cycling? I uses fuel to recharge the battery and my step slider will save that and wear and tear from constant cycling.

I haven't resolved the micropod issue. I have been disconnecting the Accuair system anytime I need to record a log or use the micropod. I started to diagnose the issue but too many other priorities for now.

I have learned the system absolutely sucks in sub zero weather. It regularly errors out, I need to drop some airbrake antifreeze oil into the compressor intake.

I don't modulate the height that frequently but when I tow, I will drop to hook up, etc. Between that and tire fill I wasn't a fan of how long the pump ran. It's just a personal preference to have more air; definitely not a necessity.

I live in Edmonton and drive through Canadian winters for work all over western Canada. Have you considered adding an inline air dryer system? I’m unfamiliar with the Mopar Micropod, what is it, is it OEM on all our trucks or just the JTD’s?

I haven't considered an air dryer yet. I added some air brake anti-freeze, we'll see if that gets the job done.

The micropod is what the dealer uses to connect to , update, and diagnose our vehicles. It plugs into the OBD2 port.

Oh the Bluetooth connector. I didn’t know what that it was called a MicroPod.
An air dryer would likely be a good solution. I’m kind of surprised the company hasn’t considered adding one as an option for northern climates.

*Sorry if I missed the response. I did read as much as I could before posting this.*

Has anyone pullled the trigger on using Fox Shocks or any other aftermarket shock in place of what comes with the Accuair Kit?

Recieved this response fromAccuair and didn't totally believe the "shock strap comment".

The shocks that come with the kit are necessary and must be used because they act as the limiting straps for the kit. You will be voiding your warranty if you use the Fox shocks. You can adjust the height settings on your lift but only within 10% of the preset settings.

Also Recieved this response on the adjustable piggy backs.
Unfortunately, how the JT diesels are setup in the front behind the inner fenders, it doesn't allow room for the adjustable piggybacks.

May sound ridiculous, but I would love to be running their system with Fox Adjustable shocks for my JT Diesel.

Well.......there is a fun game to be played while modifying any vehicle called FAFO! I would think remote reservoir shocks with the ability to dial in the damping and rebound would be a nice addition to the system. As far as the "limiting" aspect.......that's what they make limiting straps for; there problem solved........now get er don!

Shit, we all modify our Jeeps while under warranty.......why should this scenario be any different

you can make piggy backs fit if you can use a welder.

I had to piggyback version on order for the diesel. I ordered the gas kit because I’m gonna be mounting the tank somewhere else didn’t wanna lose my spare, but I did not know the piggyback will not fit in the front?
