My question is did you use a programer to set tire size and ratio's?
Yes. I have the Tazer JL Mini. It has lots of options I don’t use. But it does remember the Auto Start/Stop setting so once you turn it off it stays off.

Yeah, simple to do, almost everyone has a way these days - tazer, jscan, AlfaOBD, or a choice of a couple other methods that aren't very expensive.

Corrected for tire size with JScan and still running the stock 3.73s, I averaged 17mpg on a trip from Nebraska to San Diego and 14 mpg on the way back due to some brutal head and side winds.
I am currently averaging 14 mpg around town.

I averaged 23mpg on my trip to the mountains with my dirt bike on the back. My wheel and tire combo weighs about 100lbs, 2.5in Clayton overland lift kit, 4.56 gears, stage 2 diet on the diesel, and a RTT that doesn't stick up past the roofline.

If you don’t care about gas mileage stop reading.

I have 3.6 gasser, automatic, 37s, 4.88 gears. Just drove 500+ miles Dallas to Missouri. Mostly 65 mph, some 70, some 75. It’s mostly flat, some rolling hills, little to no wind.

18.3 mpg for the trip
In town I get 13.

You have a much gentler and possible lighter JT than I sir. Cus i get 12-14 everywhere lol.

ugh why'd you have to post this... I've been fighting the urge to go 37's and 4.56 gears...

I get 20-ish hwy on 35s, 100-ish lbs each corner, 70 mph with cruise set. No diet yet but probably only going to do a stage 1. Coming from a gas guzzling Tacoma I've been happy with 20, but seeing a few of you getting even better with 37s makes me want to click add to cart...

I guess I do t feel too bad; I’m averaging 14 mpg around Omaha with 3” lift, 5.38’s and 37” Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I’d have to do 70mph or less on the highway to see 16-17 mpg’s. I averaged about 14 mpg doing 84mph across SD headed to the Black Hills, but that was also loaded down.

How is the drivability? I am running 35"s with 3.73 (no probs) and contemplating 37"s.

My 37's weigh the same as the stock 33" Falken AT's, I really havent noticed a change in power or MPG. I still get 16-20mpg depending on how and where I'm driving. No plans to regear.

Running Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs, diesel, 2-inch Mopar lift, AEV wheels, stock gearing.

With rack, awning and RTT I get 22 mpg on the highway. Without, 24. Either way average 18 around town.

Great. Mine is my daily driver and have zero issues with driveability. Ran the same to me as when I had the 35s

Do it! The diesel is great with 37s unless you tow a lot. With the 4.56 gears I average about 14-15mpg now with the tune. It also is way more fun to drive and peppy! I went straight to 37s because my last gladiator was on 33s for 4 years and this is my "dream" build.
