I believe all the engine parts are standard Mopar. Obviously you're integrating a power train to a new vehicle so the ecu would be custom, but I'm sure they either use hp tuners or diablo/superchips/edlebrock so anyone who can write a tune could tune it. Any exhaust shop can rework your exhaust. None of it is proprietary one offs in my opinion aside from maybe the motor mounts but how often are you going through those?I don't buy that it's 100% Mopar parts. From AMW's website (linked in an earlier post), there are several unusual things:
And they specifically mention A/C compressor & lines, high-torque starter, high-output alternator, radiator, and 850-watt cooling fan. May or may not be Mopar stuff.
- Engine Mounting System: Clevite Mounts | Engine Cradle
- Proprietary Powertrain Calibration: PCM | Remote Tuning Feature
- Stainless Steel Mandrel Bent 3.5” Exhaust System
- Powertrain Harness
- Integrated Body Control Module Tool + Gateway Bypass
- 241 T-Case Half + Input Shaft
While unlikely, if something happens to any of these things, you're not going to be able to replace anything without AMW's help.
But AMW seems to be the best in the business, so I'd be they know how to take care of all these things. I'm just saying that if you blow a radiator hose, you're not going to be able to walk in and out of O'Reilly with a new one without help from AMW.
