I suggest being very careful about ordering any Jeep with a Sunrider, even buying one later.
I'm still dealing with the mess with mine.

@Bestop has stopped communicating
@JeepCares has closed yet a second case

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...-mess-up-or-theirs.95640/page-34#post-1628003

This has been going on since MAY of this year.
That's 6 months, no resolution.
Jeep closed 2 cases.
Bestop simply stopped contacting me.

BEWARE. If you have problems, you will be on your own.

Contact your local Board of Consumer Protection and the Attorney General for your state. If there’s any chance of it being a safety risk you can also file a complaint with the NHTSA.

Wow. I read your whole other thread and am shocked after everything they were doing to try to assist that they would just disappear. Disappointing for sure. Well, scratch that off my Christmas list. Thanks for the followup ShadowsPapa

Jeep has been horrible in all of this. Bestop tried for a while, then disappeared. I suspect Bestop was losing time and money and jeep was screwing them over.
The dealership I'm sure didn't want anything to do with it because there was little in it for them.

Maybe a lemon law attorney. If you bought your Jeep with the Sunrider. You could potentially lemon your whole car. Seems crazy but worth a try.

I wanted a roll-up tonneau cover. The only way to order the truck with it was to bundle in the sunrider or a $2,000 trail package (already had my own rails, didn't need the other stuff)
I had thought about a Sunrider for a while anyway, and wanted one, so chose that tonneau cover/sunrider bundle (that's the only way Jeep does stuff)
So it arrived from the factory with the Sunrider strapped into the bed of the truck - strapped to the factory bed anchor points, in a jeep box with a Jeep part number on the box and the Jeep tag on the sunrider itself.
It came from the factory that way, paid Jeep for it.
It's on the build sheet and on the window sticker, so @JeepCares - Jeep totally owns this!
Ordered through dealer with new truck, bundled with tonneau cover, in a box with Jeep part number, listed on the factory build sheet - so it's a Jeep thing.

Unfortunately Bestop went to crap.
The only two people ever involved from Bestop were Crystal - their media/communications person, and an engineer from MI
Never heard from anyone else, and somewhere in September, even that stopped.

I have a feeling the company that bought/owns them now was after fast, easy money, and isn't willing to step up and put anything into the company.

That sucks because they used to be an amazing company to deal with.

Not much, but here is AI's take on it:

Jeep Gladiator Bestop and Jeep have totally dropped my case. BEWARE When did Bestop go downhill

That's what I'd been hearing, but then searches showed I wasn't the only one with fitment issues, however, until September, I'd had better luck than almost anyone as far as communications with them.
Then it just stopped - as if they reached a dead end.
I still say Jeep owns this issue - but then, the two must work together to make one fit the other. It can't be so one-sided.

I agree. If it came from Jeep as a factory option, it's on them to make this right. As Junkman said above, I feel like maybe it's time to use the "L" word with them and maybe Jeep will get off their butts. "Fix this or give me a brand new Jeep and take this one back".

Thanks, Jay, for moving this. It's a far more appropriate place for this thread.
