My mind is writing checks my body can't cash.

If your body only says “think again” then it is REALLY polite!!!! Mine usually goes “Dahellyoutryintadotame!!”. Then mutters under its muscles for the next 3 days reminding me of the warning. The mind says 30, the body says think again.
OMG, were the same person + add my additional 33 yearsWhen I talk to some young guys at work and realize I've been here 17 years now and nearly all of the people I started with are gone. I am now the 'old guard'.
My lower back reminds me often. Like today.
I perpetually listen to 90's country. The same songs that played out of the old alarm clock by moms bed, on top of the night stand made from leftover materials when the closet was added to the trailer we lived in.
The same stand sitting by my chair in the living room, more than 30 years later.
I still buy the occasional movie or video game on disc. This was perpetuated by the fact that the kids were annoyed that everytime they turned the Xbox on a game needed yet another update.
"Back in my day the games didn't need to update - you just played them".
I get annoyed and cancel all my subscription services.
"When I was a kid we didn't need all this shit - we watched cable TV".
Old enough that I was watching the Daytona 500 when Dale Sr died, young enough to still appreciate where the sport is now.
I'm not 'old' mind you. I turn 37 in February. Statistically speaking, that's about halfway home or so. But it's old enough that everything you do, you wonder if it's the right thing - because you aren't getting many more do-overs.
I could keep reminiscing - but I digress for now.
You're still a puppy in diapers. Wait until you get to 70.When I talk to some young guys at work and realize I've been here 17 years now and nearly all of the people I started with are gone. I am now the 'old guard'.

Then you can say that you've been "used, abused, and recycled".I remember. That was a Sam Walton thing and when he died, they quickly phased them out.Nostalgia!
Who remembers the old Wal Mart snack cafes? Before they all got replaced with Subways and other fast food joints.
Back when you could get roller dogs, popcorn, nachos, etc.

I miss the days of ripping music off and hoping you didn't give the family computer a virusI used to download music off limewire and sometimes get that awful noise sound lol.
My wife.I had an idea for this driving into work when a Rob Zombie song came on the classic rock radio station. The grunge and metal I listened to in the 90’s is classic rock. It has been for awhile, but it kind of hit me this morning.
Another one recently, is I was talking to a young employee about technology and mentioned the first iPod was released when I was in college, and blackberry was cool and only for executive staff at my first job.
I remember when Walmart was "Wal-Mart" and a Southern/East Coast thing.Nostalgia!
