After about 30 miles of mostly interstate driving the soot level displayed on my ScanGauge 2 read “38”. Within minutes of exiting the highway and slowing to 40 mph the soot level displayed jumped to “82” and according to the ScanGauge regeneration started. I continued driving and in about 8 minutes of driving 30 to 50 mph the soot level dropped to “9” and the regeneration stopped. My 2022 Gladiator has 33,000 miles and has never displayed anything on the dash indicating that a regeneration was taking place or telling me to continue driving because a regeneration was occurring. I installed the ScanGauge in October after my Gladiator derated after several hours of interstate driving returning home from a trip from Utah. I took it to the dealership and the DPF was full and required a forced regen. This is not a daily driver so I try to avoid short trips. Yesterday was the 2nd regen I’ve had since installing the ScanGauge. I have two questions:
1. Has anyone else seen or heard of the soot level displayed on the ScanGauge increase greatly (from 38 to 82 in my case) in just minutes?
2. Has anyone else never had a message or light indicating a regeneration was ongoing? When my Jeep derated “Exhaust System Service Required, See Dealer” was displayed.
