Help start a Class Action for 3.6 Pentastar Head Gasket

I have just paid through the nose for passenger side head replacement and both head gaskets at 75k miles on my 2020 Rubicon. With a quick search of the internet, you can see this is happening all over across JT and JL customers, usually between 50 and 70k miles, but mine did not throw a code for it until 75k. Not every truck, but many, many. Apparently it requires a class action suit to get Jeep/Stellantis to step up and admit they have a quality problem. Does anyone here have a legal connection that can help get this started? It will take time, but this is plain wrong.

I just had my steering stabilizer replaced under the warranty that was extended on that part to 8 years and 90k miles, rightly so but that only happened as the result of a class action. I wouldn't call it the most reliable engine ever, but for every 1 with a head gasket failure there are hundreds that never have that issue. Same for the cams. The cams seem to be more common than the head gasket, but still finding a dozen failures out of hundreds of thousands of 3.6Ls on the road doesn't seem to rise to the level of a class action lawsuit to me, but you do you. If it's between 50 and 75k, I'd bet that about half of those are getting replaced free anyway as the powertrain warranty is good to 60k. Does it suck to need engine work shortly out of warranty? Absolutely. Is it guaranteed or even common in the perspective of just how many of these things are on the road between trucks, Jeeps, minivans, and cars? I'd say not at all. Even if you get enough people together for a class action, you'd be lucky if you win and after the lawyers get paid you'll see a check for $43 if you're lucky.

You are pissing up a rope, especially trying to mix the pre PUG Pentastars from the JK and prior.

I get it, any engine should go 300K in an ideal world but we do not live in that and is why there is warranties. There is no warranty for the warranty.

If you want a feel for such things, look up the status of the various class actions started for the valvetrain and see how they are doing. They have to be 100 to 1 (just guessing) compared to any head gasket issue.

Like mentioned, 5-8 years down the road it will just make a bunch of lawyers rich and everybody else gets a 40% off your next MOPAR under $100 accessory purchase at the dealership.

There's s reason why 2018 to 2021 the 3.6 Pentastar motor head gasket is comprised of two layer material and new superseded replacement part is comprised of 3 layers.....tell me Jeep didn't know about these failing parts.

My cylinder heads are removed right now because my right-side head gasket blew at 117k miles. After taking the valve covers off, I learned that I also had a chewed up right-side intake cam. I'm doing all the work myself but why is it always the same head gasket and the same cam of the 4 cams? I love my Jeep but unfortunately my friends joke around and say things like "Don't buy a Jeep cuz they are junk. Just look at what happened to John". It's hard to argue with them. I personally think that the thinner oil is the problem. I'm going 5w30 this time around. Especially since I live in Texas.

You are correct. After my Jeep went down, I purchased a 2015 Mazda 3 I Sport. What I save in gas every month is more than my new car payment. Not driving the Jeep every month is actually paying for my other car.
