Well, after many legal discussions with the Department of Justice and EPA, Green Diesel Engineering is now selling Afterlife Tunes for those who qualify. In short, the EPA's definition of "full useful life" is 10 years or 120,000 miles for the Gen 2 EcoDiesel. The Gen 3 EcoDiesel is 10 years or 150,000 miles. GDE now offers a delete tune (Afterlife Tune) for those vehicles.

Set it up on blocks and just let it spin. Power on just to turn the wheels. Don't even actually turn the motor on. Wonder if that would work?

This was discussed in another thread. You have to sign a document stating the mileage and that's it. There are no actual checks done just you signing off on it. They specifically ask you not to send a pic of your instrument cluster.

You complete a form with the year and mileage. Obviously, some people fudge the numbers.

Because I might grab a totaled diesel for a EOTW build, got some monster ideas that the gasser just won't support (torque reasons).

The 3rd gen EcoDiesel qualifies either 10 years or 150,000 miles.
