Then go get a grenadier. They have an amazing drivetrain too. The venerable, very tough, B58 and a real ZF 8 speed.
Ya know I’ve thought about it but nothing can really replace the “real deal”. Of course this is all just pipe dreams. Either vehicle is a buttload of cash I don’t need to spend so I won’t. I’m thoroughly enjoying my Gladiator so I’ll stick with it. Sometime I drive it even though I really don’t need to. I just look for excuses to. I dreamed of owning a Jeep truck for many years and now I’ve got one. I’m content.

I'd want an Xtra Cab with a 6ft bed EcoDiesel Rubicon. Similar to this...
4490-0a46f71b798226f00554287e190985c5.jpg

With 38s, 4.27 axle gears, 2.5 Clayton diesel lift with long arm fronts and triangulated 4 link rear. Truss and gusset the front, truss the new full float rear.
Then, the wife's JLURD needs a 3rd row for the grandkids and a set of 35s.

Oh, and of course delete both and give them 500+ lb-ft of torque.

Saw this at the Detroit Auto Show years ago , hoping they would have brought it out, I had a remote control just like it, gave it to my grandson sorry now I did ... Ended up in the garbage.

The only thing I really wish my Mohave had is more engine. I think a factory Plain Jane 5.7L would be about perfect.

I was spoiled by the 23 F-150 I had with the 3.5L EB. 400 hp and 500 ft lb of torque. The 23 Colorado I had wasn't bad either. 310 hp and 430 ft lb torque.

I tow a small Rpod TT pretty regular. The 3.6L struggles with it, especially in the mountains.

My dream Jeep -

2 doors regular cab
no extra cab -

bench seat

6 1/2’ bed ,

manual transmission like the ( my little pony from Ford) with a crawl gear

- up fitter switch’s that you can map on the radio screen / steering / dash buttons with like 10 outputs/ heavy gauge wire and some relay outputs at the bed , front and rear bumpers

dual fuel tanks -

I want straight body sides -no curves - like the pre2006 jeeps

fold down windshield / removable top n doors /
*Half doors that match the gladiator body lines*/
soft door uppers that look like the TJ type- not the plastic JK looking ones/
Places on the exterior of the body / doors / bedsides / hardtop that have the track rails to attach stuff - or at least a rigid nut plate behind a cover

a frame with NICE WELDS THAT HOLDS PAINT !!!! Are you reading this??

if they offered the e-torque like in the Ram I’d love to have the battery power to all electric camp ( no diesel or propane heater)

and yes I want Dana 60 size axles / 37 spline shafts / 8x6.5 lug pattern / semi float is fine.

***5.7 v-8 etorque or the hurricane inline 6 - I don’t need a ton of HP but want a torque monster - if it felt like driving an old 12 valve Cummins I’d be in heaven.****

please take the NHV guy n lay him off - I want to feel it shake / hear it work / harshness …. It’s why I buy a jeep - it’s why I keep my LJ’s around.

lastly - DARK BROWN LEATHER SEATS / cooled seat option ( miss hot flash would love that )

It's pretty much the one I own. If I knew the diesel had a better track record I'd feel better about it but I've actually seen very few issues in this gen motor vs the last. I write this as we're cruising east through Colorado at 75 mph getting 22.5 mpg on 40s after running the Rubicon and driving over 5,000 miles in under two weeks. I haven't had a single issue with anything on this Jeep.

And a stick would be fun but I honestly have grown to absolutely love the 8HP. A great, incredibly reliable bullet proof trans.

I think I'd like to keep the overall wheelbase about the same but lose the rear doors for a slightly extended two door cab with some storage behind the seats and a longer bed.

So,
A decently powerful but lighter diesel.
ZF trans.
Solid transfer case like the 241.
4.88 gears
40s.
Built axles. (Or 60/80 combo but I think the 44s built are fine)
Maybe a shorter cab and longer bed with some sort of pop up bed enclosure like a gofastcamper or alucab.
I'd like a bigger fuel tank but this one is just adequate enough. Purely a convenience thing.

Probably a CJ-7 with the 304 AMC and Quadratrac. And the air conditioning with the vents in a bar along the bottom of the dashboard with the fan switch in the middle to turn it on and off.

No, not for towing. Not for doing the Rubicon trail. But a great Jeep that is fun to drive for most of us.

It's pretty simple for me. A loaded Rubicon Gladiator with a factory 2 in. lift, 35s, either of the Hemi V8s, and three pedals.

Gladiator with a 6' bed and a 5.7 would be great. It can sit on 33s with a selectable rear locker. That's fine.

OR,

Something the exact length of a Gladiator, but as a 3-row SUV so that I have some storage behind the third row (like a Suburban). Make the third row removable as well since frame design probably would not allow for it to fold flat and dissapear.

Add:
* inline 6
* larger bed
* payload/TOWING capacity
* sound insulation
* Levi's premium (Premium interior, not just denim seats and badges [badges being a Jeep fave] option

Keep:
* buttons, dials and switches (my BMW 7 Series is a nightmare!).
* Structural rigidity
* Premium feel, both physically and emotional.
* Retain what makes a Gladiator a "foundational" Jeep 🇺🇸
