Gladiator buyers - have you owned a Wrangler?

Lol. marketing bruh!! I've had five. Currently one. Soon to be zero (family handmedown of the 2010 Liberty I just got running again) followed by a resto Gladiator (eyes on a '63 2dr long bed), then maybe a 2020. Wife loved the 2020, so that's approved pending can I afford it. We just need to see price! I had one sort of like this:

Wife and family are all in on the Gladiator! They love our CJ7 and momma put the kabosh to a 99 TJ deal I had worked out for my son/daughter (when she is old enough)because she didn’t like the loose steering! It’s a Jeep I said and it’s better than the CJ with the V8! She has said that a JK would be much nicer and “safer” for Jr to drive. Jr is all in saying he can’t wait to go to the drive in with his new found girlfriend in the Wrangler with the top off! I’m skeptical that’s the whole story.....

In the hunt for the right 2dr JK now.

Just returned from my local dealer where I educated him on tread lightly and where I need to be on price in reference to invoice. I see myself being about 3-5% under invoice with TL right in my back yard. Not too bad I must say although it cuts out a tailgate and road trip home! They do a bunch of Wrangler business and in shop mods. He said he sees them getting a Gladiator from the factory sooner than later as they were also one of the first to get the new Ram HD based on sales. (Speculation) but I’ll take that chance.

Surprised to see so much interest in Gladiators from folks who've never owned a Jeep; really expected it to be more a Jeep loyalist truck. I was brought home from birth in a 91 XJ, learned to drive in a 95 YJ, my first car was a hand me down Liberty KJ, and after wrapping her around a tree I moved onto my current JK. Basically, I've been waiting for a new Jeep pickup my entire life haha

the quick answer is: first, get the vehicle price, then, do some math. If you do not have a calculator on your phone, buy a new phone. Plus, you will need math in order to convert your JT to the metric plywood option.

13+ years with a Dodge 1500 and currently a Jeep G.C. ! Some people say, "Don't call my Jeep a car, it's a Truck !"
I insist on calling my G.C. a JEEP or sometimes refer to it as a Truck . . . but NEVER a car ! Maybe I have "Manly, not Manley" issues ?

We’ve had a KJ, TJ, JK and 3 JKU’s. After trading my 14 JKU for a Gladiator, will spend a few months saving and get my wife a JK, most likely. She traded off her 13 JKU for a minivan a couple years ago, but has finally seen the “wisdom” of becoming a 3 vehicle family.
