$63k+++!?!?! I know that's retail but I doubt there will be much room to negotiate on a launch edition. Seems crazy to spend an extra $4200 on wheels and badging.... my $4k upgrade will hopefully be to add the diesel engine.

that being said anyone who wants the email i'll send it to you lol.. i'm not gonna jump on a launch edition.

Think your $4200 difference is a bit off. More like $645.

At a minimum several dealers have said they will honor FCA affiliate pricing (i.e. Tread Lightly), so 1% under invoice. TBD if the 7% under dealers will honor the same on the LE (TriCity NC will do 1% under, Boise dealers haven't confirmed pricing yet).

Does anyone disagree that this is the Launch Edition build?

I think the only questions are:
  • the LE specs don't specifically mention heated steering wheel (part of cold weather group ADE)
  • Both Trailer Tow and Cargo Management include 240A alternator (so some cost savings there)
  • Included a $645 Launch Edition difference (wheels, dash, badge) to get to the advertised MSRP
Assumptions:
  • Invoice pricing is unknown, but based on similar JL builds on the JL forum (95.3% of base vehicle, 89% of options)
  • Any discounts under invoice would be applied first, then destination charge added
  • Doesn't include taxes/licensing (varies state to state) or any charges associated with getting discounts (i.e. dealer doc fees, tread lightly, etc.)

I’m out for pre order invitation. They are not doing the Stingray color.

I just got a message from my dealer, there was just a conference call with some dealers and zone managers. It was about the pre-orders for launch edition. Whoo hooo!

Does anyone know if the 3rd "invitations" is just a website link that anyone can visit? I know I signed up for emails and I haven't gotten an invitation yet but would be more than happy to take care of things on the 3rd than risk the 4th and missing the cutoff on the 4190. If anyone is feeling generous with their link and doesn't plan on using it my email is [email protected]. I'm still talking with my dealer but they don't seem to have much useful information.

They won't sell 4190 of these. The rest will end up on dealer lots, probably marked up to suckers willing to pay over MSRP.

In the same boat . I am not free on Thursday but very free on Wednesday. If it is a code I will take it and use it. I think my issue is I ask Jeep to send me real mail, instead of email . I wanted something I could hold in my hand. I won't make that mistake again.

Gotcha - this is the first time I've been in such a situation (a fool and his money). I have no idea how quick these kinds of things go for. When I started exploring this class of vehicle the Chevy Bison ZR2 was interesting and they only allocated just over 4k units and they sold out fast on those (I don't know the number of days). Since I planned on getting the loaded rubicon and granite was a top two color choice I figured I'd jump at it (with FCA pricing at a minimum).

Thanks for the email, but doesn't that email just say "wait and we'll send you another link" or is there a link in there that isn't active yet? The one button on the email just goes to the general information site.

Nothing else has come out.
Still waiting to see if my local dealer will honor tread lightly. If not, I'll stay with Travis at tri-city
