It depends on your needs. The Mojave frame upgrade can’t be anything but a good thing. But I don’t really think I would ever get into jumping my JT through the air and landing hard. The suspension-strengthening stuff I already have on mine or more. from the aftermarket. And I would have that even if I had a Mojave, as I would have wanted more than a 1" lift over the stock JTR. With my 3" lift, I just cleared this one: View attachment 59865

I definitely prefer the 4:1 T-Case ratio.

I definitely prefer having front lockers, but, yes, you could add them to any Jeep.
the shocks and most of the other features are only good if you are keeping your rig stock from factory. the shocks and adaptive bumper mounts would be removed with an aftermarket upgrade. again the only thing that is a selling feature for me is the steel knuckles and the reinforced frame. steel knuckles for one are much stronger then these weak aluminum ones that come on the other models. a reinforced frame is always a good thing regardless is your prerunning or trail riding.

Even though they're made out of aluminum, that doesn't automatically make the stock knuckles "weak" for the application. Yes, steel is a stronger material (and more resistant to fatigue stress which is why I think they used it on the Mojave), but how it's used/shaped determines strength in the application, and I'm sure the stock aluminum ones meet the design intent.

Yeah, I haven't ever heard of a JK, JT, or JL frame breaking without dong something beyond insane.

I'm sure I'll ruffle some feathers with this one:

Would people have liked this Mojave edition better if it came with IFS?? I mean if the goal is desert running...
I would have liked it better.

Jeep always plays it too safe with their special edition models. Give me a limited edition with IFS. Give me a limited edition with a hemi. Give me a limited edition with 2 doors. Make it actually LOOK and PERFORM like a limited edition.

95% of the special edition models are simply decals/badges and include an option package as standard. *cough* launch edition *cough*
At least it looks like they put some more effort in to the Mojave than previous ones, but like others mentioned, everything in this can still be added to any existing model except for the strengthened frame.

So not just the frame and iron knuckles, but the track bars, control arms, and...probably other upgrades.

They should have just gone with Dana 60 axles while upgrading the other parts here and there

They put the shock reservoir inside the silver skid plate. Normally, this is where the sway bar disconnect motor goes. They did not need the disconnect motor, so, it makes sense that they would use that space. I wonder if the steel bumper with the attached skid plate fits over those reservoirs ? I guess you would just add steel bumper and leave the detached silver skid plate. Anyway for high speed desert, you want that front end as light as possible....

Thoughts on how different the Off-Road+ 4HI calibration will be on the Mojave vs the Rubicon? Any chance there's no difference at all? ;)

If so, the forthcoming SW update (or a Tazer right now) to lock the rear diff in 4HI would be all you need to get similar electronic traction control performance.

Furthermore I wonder if you could get a winch plate in there with the reservoirs?

I love everything about this except no steel bumpers.

I don't live in the desert anymore but damn it's cool!

I'm surprised it's taken FCA this long to come out with a Raptor/ZR2 competitor. The Ram TRX was shown years ago and still isn't out.
