A lot of guys who have pick up trucks that want to hard wire them either mount them in the bed if they have a cap or mount it high above the rails under the bed between the inner and outer skins.
Personally, I prefer to carry a portable compressor so that I can share it if needed.
I also opted for a portable compressor.

Are you powering that from the Gladiator's 110v outlets or did you do your own wiring from an inverter and battery?
110 outlet-it draws less than 400 watts

I've been wondering if any home/shop air compressors could be run on the factory outlet. Now I know

That is one of the reasons I run a portable. The Viair 440p hooks up with huge cables directly to the battery with the motor running. To get the same number of amps from a hardwired unit, you need to hide some big cables directly from the battery.

I ended up installing My trusty ARB compressor from my old Jeep into my Gladiator using the ACM mount and the remote coupler.

I offer a few different mounts for the bed. One for the single compressor, one for the twin compressor with an optional protective guard. Both also have options switch plates that mount directly to the compressor if desired. I bicycle a lot so I wanted my compressor at arms length when I go biking. I also have an in-cab mount that is universal for the twin or single that works behind the rear seat and has an optional dual chuck air switch plate. That is coming soon and will be on the website soon! http://www.813fabrication.com

Do you ever have any issue or worry about wetting? With your location I know the fender well is covered but that thing seems flimsy...
For some of these other posts, I worry about that with under seat mounts as well. I get caught in the rain a bit if I work long days and leave it open...you may be familiar with the pop-up thunderstorms of a southern summer.
I sure do wish for just a bit more room under the hood.

Has anyone dabbled in an install inside the under rear seat lock box? That would ensure even running through water with plugs out or getting rained in with an open top (while I’m at work so it would sit all day) and plugs in wouldn’t be an issue. Any flaws in my thinking?
I currently have a stock JK 2013 that is about to get some additions and I have a Mojave Gladiator on the way from Toledo (supposedly it has been started).

No, it’s pretty well tucked behind the fender well And the air intake is on the top side. I’ve had it under hood on my last 3 trucks (same one, I keep everytime I swap vehicles ) and it’s still going strong 4 years later.
