I had to leave it there initially because I was also getting my back window fixed (it leaked when it rained), along with the steering. This was the second visit for both items. Why even bother leaving it there while parts are being ordered? Unless it is undrivable, just take it until the parts are there
The first time I dropped it off for the back window & steering they did an alignment and said the steering was fixed (it still pulled and wandered after I got it back). They also said they'd have to set up an appointment with their glass people to get the back window fixed.
The appointment with the glass people was scheduled for Sept 1st. Since I had to drop it off for the glass appointment, I went ahead and mentioned that the steering still pulled to the right and wandered... and I gave them a copy of the actual Service Bulletin.
After not hearing from the dealership, I texted them for an update on Sept 4th, and that's when they said they were waiting on parts for the steering...
I was hoping if I just left it there, that it would get done faster. Plus, I was trying to avoid the hassle of having to take time off work (and have my wife take time off) to drop it off again for yet another appointment.
