I agree, I just think if you don't need it your slowing down the process for people who do if you get it done. Nothing shows a good aluminum steering box is any better or worse than a steel one. There was quality control issues with the Aluminum ones and FCA decided to go to a steel box for a replacement, sure it's better if you had issues.Well if you tested the others and really felt no difference, then you must really have a good steering gear, which seems to be an exception.
I really don't think it's just "in people's heads", or "they're convincing themselves they have an issue.". Either it feels loose or it doesn't. I'm also not going to begrudge anyone who doesn't really have an issue but still wants it replaced with what seems to be a better quality part. We don't need to be judge and jury of who gets the TSB done. We all paid a lot of money for this vehicle, so if someone wants a fix that is covered under warranty, then go for it.
