AP1 Left front > smart switch

AP2 right front > smart switch

Passive entry present > yes/ active

Passive entry CSM > yes/ active
That's the JScan settings.
Is it also the Tazer settings?

Dunno, I'm not a tazer person but those have to be set one way or another for things to operate.
Maybe tazer calls it something different, can't say.

Tazer, Jscan, AlfaOBD, appcar FCAdiag, auto enginuity, the dealer adding the sales code, etc, all change the exact same settings in the BCM to enable a feature. Many features, like passive entry, require multiple settings in the BCM to be changed. Tazer just changes them all at once as a “package” with one setting name.

I installed mine (driver door only) day before yesterday and it was very straightforward. My window bolts were not recalcitrant, but the door panel clips/pins were stout and needed more prying and pulling than I expected.
The Tazer activated it fine and it has been working great! This has been a welcome modification as I hated the process of getting the fob out of my pocket, pushing the button, then putting it back in my pocket and regretted not ordering proximity locks initially.

Two things I noted, and have to agree with Greg (4S50)
Those pins that hold the panel are indeed stout. I padded my trim tool with tape as I really had to apply some umph. Otherwise, it was sort of a non-eventful install. Yes, the window bolts I did work back and forth, and I found it just a whole lot easier to take them clear out and be done with it. Then I could reach in and release the window with one hand and pull up to tape in place with the other.

I started the project about 9:10 this am because it was 50 degrees and humid. I opened the garage doors to let the warm air in. My wife told me to get my a$$ out there and get it done because the temps were to drop to 8 degrees later today after extreme winds pick up - the garage is not insulated, it's a 40 year old garage, duh.
So at 9:10 I went out, plugged in two heaters, carried a bucket of tools I expected to need from my shop to the garage, got the trouble lights out and went to work. The driver door was the learning door - where I decided to take the window bolts clear out, how to route the door handle wire to avoid the window and so on.
That one was done about 10:30.
I then had to move the truck over so I had enough room to open the right door wide, set up my lights and work without being crowded by the east wall.
That door was done and the final panel screws went in at 11:30, so less than an hour for the right side.
The tools are back in my shop so technically I'm not done until those are put away......
I connected the bypass cable, the bluetooth adapter and launched jscan.

A tip for those using jscan - I don't know for sure if it was just my truck being slow, or how jscan works or if it was just ME -
These settings -
AP1 Left front > smart switch
AP2 right front > smart switch
Passive entry CSM > yes/ active

are not present until you set Passive entry present > yes/ active - and in my case, I had to shut down, turn off the truck's ign switch (I had it in ACC mode) and take my tools to the shop, then come back, reconnect and re-open jscan, and bingo - those other three settings were now present under the Passive Entry settings heading.
Before - I spent I bet 10 minutes digging through every possible page on jscan, there was no sign of AP1 or AP2 and no CSM setting anywhere. It took a bit for those to show up after setting Passive Entry to present or active.

I also decided to be smart as I put things together - as I made each connection, I tested that item to ensure everything was connected and working before I put bolts and things back in place. The door panel didn't get fully installed until I was sure each item worked as before. Last thing I wanted was to set the last screw in place and find - oh, crap, now the door locks or whatever don't work, or worse, have an error saying BSM was disabled (meaning possible messed up connector)
No issues at all other than needing to be patient with jscan.

It works! I now have passive entry, both front doors.

Me, too - and not a moment too soon.
As I started on the right door I could feel the temp in the garage already dropping and the outside temp had dropped 10 degrees in that first hour out there.

I guess I failed to mention one part did break on me and I have no idea where to get another. Don't know what to call it or where to order one. Will probably cost me...........
Those little black vinyl dots that cover the access hole for the outer door handle screw.
The vinyl dot came off fine but the adhesive stayed on the door.
So the dot came off fine but it's smooth with no adhesive.
That's the only part that broke.

Cut a circle out of a decal, that should do the trick. Probably have to warm the surface before it will stick.

Now all I have to do is go buy a decal, or buy something that comes with one......
I bet I am the only guy here who doesn't have a single vinyl (black) decal.
I'll think of something.
I had thought of a layer of silicone on the back side and just stick it back over the hole.

My iPhone, and my aging eyes, didn't cut it and had to borrow my son's Samsung! I'm very concerned about those sensitive pins as well. I'm usually pretty cautious about seating or unseating connectors and would have thought Jeep would have beefed up this connector. Don't remember even being slightly concerned about this disconnect on my 09 Wrangler.

Took the door apart again and checked for anything obvious...nothing. I was just about to ohm out the cable when I decided to de-program passive entry on the Tazer, let it sit for an hour, and re-programmed it. Everything works perfectly now...

Weird...
Mine showed all the passive entry stuff from the get-go. Could be a 2020 vs. 2021 thing.
But at least it's done!

If at first you don't succeed, uninstall, reboot & reload! Well done!

Damn, I didn't know these things ran WINDOZE.........

I found the passive entry setting pretty easily, told it that PE was present. Then I went to find the other three settings and they were nowhere to be found. I mean I looked in every module, every single screen, even stuff I KNEW it wasn't going to be under (mirrors, for example) just to be sure I wasn't missing anything. The passive entry was there, I checked again, yeah, it said it was present.
So I did the shut down, go do something else for a while, got back into it and bingo, suddenly the other things I was looking for were there.
I don't think jscan is really all that fast loading things up. I've had that issue before where one time I was looking for something, and didn't see it, then I shut down, connected again, reloaded jscan and waited several minutes, and there those things were. It's not the fastest tool out there - but it did finally get the job done.

I'm strongly considering AlfaOBD at some point, especially since we always seem to have a couple of Jeeps around.
