I've been blown away with how painful this build process has been.

I ordered my JTR through Kate at Courtesy Jeep in PA on 3/9. Got my VIN a few days later but since then, nothing! I've chatted with Jeep online and they have stated that all of my parts have been collected but it hasn't entered production yet. It's been at this same status for several weeks now. If all the parts are there, why the hold up in building it? No one has been able to answer this questions. I have escalated the issue via chat and got a follow up email but no reply to my response on that message.

Did anyone else have this much trouble with a factory order? Maybe it's the pile of parts sitting in my office, waiting to go on but I'm now nearing the 10 week mark, about when my dealer told me to expect delivery or at least the truck to be completed.

You ordered on 3/9 and it's now 4/26, that's definitely not 10 weeks. There's a lot of material procurement issues going on right now so you'll probably just need to be patient and wait it out.

I get that, what I dont get is that they said they have all the parts, for a few weeks now.

Honestly I'm cringing at any pending price hikes due to all of the materials shortages too. You may end up just being thankful that you got one of the last ones before a hike - even if it still takes a while to show up.

I ordered mine right after new years and picked it up about 8 weeks later. The actual build process moves along pretty fast after they get started, there's just a lot of waiting beforehand

Mine took quite awhile. They stopped manual transmission manufacturing because of a clutch recall. Shipping alone was 2 weeks. I didn't mind the wait, I got exactly what I wanted.

As everyone else stated, its worth the wait due to the certain price increases.

You have been waiting 7 weeks as of tomorrow and most are waiting up to 12 weeks not sure why you think Jeep doesn't care sounds like you where not given a timeline or just impatient

Nobody can give you an accurate status through the build process. Any information you do get consider incorrect. Mine was in line to be built for weeks then over night it was in final inspection and 2 days later was at my dealer.... grain of salt.

My advice. Stop looking. It will be built.

I don't get how this equates to Jeep not caring. Did someone guarantee a delivery date?

The fact you can track your build progress is a curse and a gift... I get the impatience but I don't understand the gripe.

If you wanted the truck now there's plenty on the lots. You are getting yours built to order and that requires a wait, it aint amazon prime. Mine took about 3 months and I thought that was pretty good.
