AFE Y-Pipe installed, some fresh oil and a cleaned air filter.

Put almost 3k miles on in the past couple weeks. And beat on it for many of them. So figured I could do something nice.

Would also recommend test fitting every pice…I had to adjust quite a bit and not the some on both sides. You will see when you lightly adhere and close the tailgate where to adjust. Once fitted properly, press down firmly along the entire steel for permanent
to adhesion. Also made the corner pieces about 2 1/4 inches longe instead of 1 7/8 for better seal. Ended up with about 16-18 inches of extra seal for repairs later….

G'day all,

Added the JL300 Voswitch. Good fit that is cheaper than Mopar switches, offers 2 more buttons and doesn't require any programming to use. Also has the advantage of having permanent power with an on/off switch or switched power from the ignition.

For those from Oz considering this option, engine bay configuration in RHD doesn't suit the provided mounting plate. Only place I could find to mount it was against the firewall in front of the driver. (See pics)

Only thing connected to it at the moment is a solenoid to isolate power to the winch. Will probably do the same with the Anderson plug to the rear of the vehicle.

Mounted the Curt Spectrum brake controller on the dash, still have to connect it up though.

Only other thing recently, apart from the already mentioned rear anderson plug is replacing the stock radio antennae.

You have your GMRS antenna bracket next to your lights? How does the gmrs work next to lights when lights are on?
Looks like a ghost antenna would do well there?
What add on bracket is that?

I bought a trail cam kit on Prime Day for $80.

It appeared to be very similar to the one from Z Automotive, but while installing, I saw why it was cheaper. The camera does not come with an adequate mount for the grill. It has a threaded stud, plastic washer, and flanged nut.

I made a clip with a piece of thin sheetmetal to hold it into the grill slat.

Contrary to the Amazon ad, it did not come with any instructions. I used the one from Z Automotive to route and connect to the back of the radio. The Z Automotive instructions were great for connecting and setting up with the Tazer.

Since I already had a 12 volt adapter (from Quadratec), I connected power without having to use the supplied 12 volt adapter.

Once the cable was routed to the other side of the firewall, I fished it through the upper radiator support and down the center opening, right where the camera was to be mounted.

The camera needs to stick out a bit further, as the grill takes up about 25% of the viewable area. The wide angle is great (170 degrees). However, it is TOO light sensitive - night images are terrible, even with headlights off (just DRL on). Image washes out due to too much light. I might try tinting the lens. It appears any cheap 480 camera can be adapted. I'll try this for a while, and I will likely try a different camera later (with a better adjustable mount). Still, for the price, I think it was worth it.
