Forget that!!! A lot of dealerships allow you to return some thing within a day or two. Some states even have a mandatory three day cool off After a car purchase where they have to take it back if you change your mind. Anything other than a full refund or a completely different car is the only option. I would not care if that damage causes zero effects to the useability of the Vehicle. It is brand-new....let them cry but who cares. There problem not yours
There are no cooling off laws for new car purchases in the US. There are a few states that have laws allowing you to buy a cancellation option on used car purchase contracts, but that wouldn’t apply here.

On the other hand, many dealers and states do not have any provision for a cooling-off period on a new car purchase Once you have purchased the new vehicle and it has been registered to you, it is a used car and the dealership wants nothing to do with taking it back. Lemon Laws are different, but that doesn't apply to this situation. Once you take delivery it is unfortunately your problem, not theirs.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you took delivery of it and drove it off the lot. It's no longer 'brand new', it's used. Once that happens, issues like this are likely not going to be covered by the dealer.

I crawled all over & under my Mojave with a flashlight before taking delivery. The people at the dealership were looking at me like I had lobsters coming out of my ears.

Bring it to the dealer's attention and see what happens.
Some states have a mandatory cool off period of a few days. Also, my dealer has a 7 day or 150 mile return policy, no questions asked. E.g. my JT was not titled to me until 7 days after I drove it off the lot. So, it was legally brand new for those seven days. I doubt that the OP's truck has been titled yet, especially over a weekend, when all offices that do that type of paper work are closed.

I think that OP's biggest issue is that he may have to wait a while to get a replacement. If he chooses to go that route.

I agree, still a great idea to do a full inspection before leaving the lot.

What state are you in? Your profile says ”north west”, but I just checked every NW state and none of them do.

Happy to hear I'm not the only crazy person. I ordered my JT and when it came in I insisted on a test drive before doing the paperwork. Salesman looked at me like I was insane. Jeep literally builds these things in one day- never confuse 'new' with 'correctly assembled'.

Yes, I would inform the dealer and see what they might offer, but at the end of the day I would just smooth them out and repaint.... or you can have it repaired if you want ... those horns aren't technically used for anything.

Go back to the dealer so they can file a claim with the transport company.
Yeah the time to do that is when they're unloaded and the person checks it in inspects them. Chances are that person will get in trouble and the dealership should do something for him to compensate for the damage if they don't send it somewhere to be repaired

I would have never thought to look for something like that. I drive a vehicle off the lot in good faith that it's in new condition inside and out. I'll notice a dent or if the side mirror is hanging by its wires (that happened once), but if it's underneath or under the hood then I might as well not bother. I might have noticed that frame damage but in the excitement of the moment maybe not.

I acknowledge that some of you may rightly call me naive, but I'm not a mechanic. I could take all afternoon going over a truck and still miss something that would be obvious to some of you. I just hope I'm dealing with good people and that the warranty is worth more than the paper its printed on. So far I've found our local dealership to be run by stand up people who'll go to bat for their customers when needed. Hopefully that's the case with your dealership and your frame.

I live in NY where there is no "cool down" period for auto purchases. The area in the photos is on a drop down which then supports the radiator support. I'm not overly concerned about "major" damage to the main structure, but it COULD have tweaked the first bend point heading back towards the main frame. (There was an awful lot of downward force being applied.) What's more important is the fact that I ordered and paid for a "NEW" $67,000 truck. Yes it's new, but it does and always will, in my mind, have had Frame damage. That's the pill that's a little hard to swallow right now.
