Rubicon with black leather should have the red dash panel
If you get the optional upgraded leather seats they give you a gray dash.

I just pulled my build sheet for my Rubi with black leather and it does show Silver Platinum I/P Bezels, I just ordered the standard leather. I'm happy either way.

Picked my Gladiator up a couple hours ago. Sport S Max Tow, pretty stacked but not every option. Can't wait to get it out and drive it around! I'm so happy they brought this color back! My dealership had 2 Rubicons sitting on the lot as well, so very tempting to upgrade, but I'm happy with my decision.

I know right? Been built so long and not delivered that I’ve completely lost interest. I don’t even want it anymore ?????

Looks like I get to join all you illustrious folks by accident. An accident that damaged my Firecracker Red Rubicon.

After waiting 16 weeks my new JTRD showed up with shipping damage on the roof, looks like a ramp fell on it and another member here seems to verify that belief. Anyway the dealer tried to make it good but the thought of something being wrong before delivery, and the fact it has to be disclosed and no one was sure what that meant for vehicle history, just didn’t sit well with me. So everyone agreed that it would be good to order a new one.

So when given the opportunity I jumped at Gobi which wasn’t offered in January when I originally ordered it. That is a nice silver lining to that bastard cloud.

Don‘r know what‘s going to happen with things like the costs for the accessories and extended warranty but the dealer appears to want to make it right since the delay impacts a few things now.

I’m Chumley, glad to meet you all.

Wish you were joining us on happier circumstances. I saw your thread and the pictures made me cringe. Did they do anything extra on the second order to make up for the FUBAR first order?

No particular promises at this time. It wasn’t the dealership’s fault and they are trying to help by offering to loan me a truck for the truck needs (like getting my tires from the alignment shop Tire Rack sent to that can’t store them for months and picking up 24 cases of wine for a friend). They also sound like I’ll be getting some discounted items but not sure what. They are trying but are relatively new so haven’t gotten the dealer incentives from the manufacturer built up yet.

It’s really not dealer’s or even Jeep’s fault. They need to get some blood from the shipping company but they won’t get back more than the basic cost of repairs. So everyone loses and I don’t think Jeep/Stellantis cares much about me/us as individuals. The District Manager is trying to get this expedited but who knows what that really means. Note: I’m trying to order another car and the world is upside down with up to a 25% dealer markup on some cars in demand! Some dealers are making out like bandits, at least I’m at MSRP in a super hot market area.

I’m hoping I don’t lose my 2.29% loan and hope there isn’t a diminishing of quality with this bizarre supply chain issue.

Im definitely getting an extended warranty with the diesel now so looking to see what kind of deal Gupton gives so can track what my dealer is offering. I like to buy local but enough $$$ and I become open minded…

Good news is I'm getting my new Gladiator in Gobi and deleted a couple items from my order since this delay puts delivery in line with my RSI cap so saved about $1,000 all told.

Good to hear they are at least trying. Maybe push for the MOPAR 2" at cost with free labor... ?

Definitely should get mopar lift for the trouble. You should also get the tread lightly discount, at least 3% below invoice. If they don’t do that for you I would honestly walk away and go to another dealer. Depending on your location there’s dealers that will do below invoice on orders.

I'm sorry. Did you say MSRP for an order unit? Walk away. Even if you have to drive or fly somewhere to pick one up. It will be worth it.

All said and done I got my Jeep home for about $8-9k under msrp. $150 flight, $120 hotel room, and 2 tanks of diesel included.
Ahhh the beauty of the National Automotive Dealers Association (NADA). Few organizations are worse for the red-blooded American consumer than NADA. The fact that a buyer has to fly to a different state (often) and stay in a hotel room just to get a better deal is just mind-blowing.

I don't own a Tesla, but OMG do I have respect for their anti-NADA business model. You should be able to go online (from anywhere), order your vehicle, pay a fair standard price, and have the vehicle delivered to you or to a local retail center. Done.
