Lots of people run into issues with CarPlay and the center console port. It craps out after a few minutes. Happens to me every time. What’s the issue? That’s what I use.

Looks good! Have you even driven your JT yet? I knew you were OCONUS.Found a great deal on 5 brand new 37” BFG KM3’s so I snagged them. If anyone near Oklahoma wants a like new set of 5 37x12.50x17R BFG KO2’s let me know.

My 2020 did that all the time until I read somewhere in the manual that the max length of the cord is 4'. I bought a high quality 4' cord and it stopped happening. Give it a shot might fix it!Lots of people run into issues with CarPlay and the center console port. It craps out after a few minutes. Happens to me every time.
Feet? Mine are 3 feet long. I’ve tried both official Apple and MFi certified Anker cables. Same results ?My 2020 did that all the time until I read somewhere in the manual that the max length of the cord is 4'. I bought a high quality 4' cord and it stopped happening. Give it a shot might fix it!
You could prolly do it after due to the power unit separation from the winch case. You’ll have to dismantle the head unit but it’s no big deal. Just use a step bit to get to the 3/4 hole diameter you need. I did mine with it in the bumper removing the head unit to dismantle for a new hole. Plugged the old one.Did you do it after it was already installed or before. Trying to figure out if I can it without needing to pull the winch out.
Thanks
I thought the center console port was only for charging? My Ram was like that so I had to use the dash connector.Lots of people run into issues with CarPlay and the center console port. It craps out after a few minutes. Happens to me every time.
Thanks for the idea, I re-located mines as well. I love the clean look.I relocated my AM/FM antenna today. It now lives under the plastic vent around the wipers. I used my Overland Bound badge to cover the holes.

Here you goFollowing as I have a Sport and never hook up the plugs
Same hereLooks good! Have you even driven your JT yet? I knew you were OCONUS.
I use my center console port exclusively for Android Auto without any issues. I guess it’s just a car play issue. It would be even better if Jeep would just fix the issue with the USB port in the console so we can use that with CarPlay.
Did you ever rewire these? I’m in the process right now and trying to figure the best way to do it. I’m thinking about hooking them up to each side bed light through the little hole in each corner directly, so they’ll always be on when the cargo lights are on.I ordered the 60" strips thru quadratec.

The strips were a bit to long so I trimmed them to length and dipped the end in silicone.
I tapped into the existing bed lights for now. I plan to rewire them on a dedicated circuit after I remove everything and spray bed liner in the near future.
