I literally just left Kraftsmanship with a 28 JT in it for a part review lol.

Every propulsion method you can imagine continues to be available.

It looks nothing at all like that stupid AI image.
What is Kraftsmanship?

only thing i learned from this article is that they did a JT High Tide (though it was AI garbage at first, but apparently it's a florida only model just announced and has very little in common with the JL high tide for who knows what reason?)

All you with the I'll just V8 swap attitude might want to watch the emissions laws that keep popping up. More and more states are pushing for CA's "Clean Cars" emissions standards and there's many lobbying for them at a national level. I know a couple people who have been in a world of hurt getting their vehicles compliant.
99.999% of them will either wreck it or trade it in on the next big thing within 4 years anyway.

What is Kraftsmanship?
It's part of the Tech Center, where new vehicle components are evaluated for fit, finish, appearance, etc.

You can't just call a part black, it has to be TX7 black, and be approved under the appropriate lighting and conditions as well as harmonized with all the mating components, etc etc.

That's not body on frame lol.
That's my point. The Commanche cab was unibody and the bed sat on the frame arms.

It's happened before when the Scrambler was killed and the Commanche born, so you never know what's in the minds of Stellantis leadership.

Not too long ago, I might have said the same thing about EV road cars. Yet here I am, with a Tesla in my garage. I’ll let it pan out and see how much this EV tech improves before making a blanket statement about buying an EV offroader.
I'd take an EV as a daily commuter. But I don't see there being enough support to truly run an EV the way I do my Gladiator.

I agree… in 2024. But who knows what EV tech we will have in a few more years. Thats why, although I have a tesla for daily driving and some roadtrips, my truck is a Gladiator and not a Cybertruck(not to mention how ugly it is)

I read the same article this morning and was waiting on this to pop up here, I am not so much interested in the electric only aspect but the extended range electric i.e. like on the Ram Ramcharger. A 3.6 acting as a generator for the electric motor seems to be the best of both worlds, I calculated it would return around 20mpg equivalent which doesn't seem like much but based off the specs of the Ramcharger, 600+ Hp, 600+ Tq and 0-60 in 4.4 seconds I could live with "only" 20mpg equivalent with 690 miles of range. Or maybe they will end up slapping a Hurricane in it like they are doing the new Charger as well.

I plan on international rural travel. Even in a decade i don't see third world countries or North American bush having any type of main stream EV support.

Well for that, I wouldn’t even take my JT. A 1980’s Land Rover Defender would fit the bill!

Randomly…at some mileage between 0 and 75,000, The battery housing will develop a crack, and you will be able to hear an audible ‘tick’ at it expands and contracts. Of course, by this time, all the other manufacturers will have perfected the EV battery, but not Jeep. Theirs will tick. And cost $20,000 to fix, and the fix will last 3500 miles and the reappear. Dads who bought it will realize they didn’t buy a serious vehicle and will give it to their teenage daughters to drive.

The rear window will also leak.

Yeah all this electric stuff and whatnot should do wonders for vehicle longevity.
