Hey all, I just bought a 2025 Gladiator Nighthawk. This is my 8th jeep, but first one in 14 years. In the past I owned CJs, YJs, and a TJ. They were never daily drivers except when I was a kid. Now it’s going to be my daily driver, I’m thinking 34s with a 1.5 terraflex kit. Any advice on this?

thanks in advance!!

I have 35’s and the same leveling kit…it’s perfect for my needs.

Have you considered a re-gear into the thought process?

Here's my honest opinion:

I purchased my JT in 2022 (22 Sport S) and wanted bigger tires, but it was also my DD.

I decided to go with 33s (285/70/17) while also adding a front TF 1.5 Level.

It drove fine, and nothing was wrong with it - but watching other Jeeps with larger tires made me a little envious, and I knew the vision for my JT wasn't where I wanted it to be.

So I decided to pull the trigger and went with Toyo Open County At3's 35x12.5x17 (which were only a few lbs HEAVIER than my Falken 33s) along with a 2.5 lift kit.

Now My JT is finished and each time I park I have to look back at it, and I just love looking at it and driving it.

I also have 3.73 gears, and am averaging 19mpg to the gallon driving around here in Madison, WI.

Long story short: Do what you want. But if you're questioning of wanting to go bigger whether its 33 vs 34 or 33/34 vs 35's - just punch the trigger and go bigger.

Personally to keep it enjoyable as a daily driver, I would not recommend over a 285/70R17 or 33” with the stock 3.73 gearing. Going taller and heavier will kill your acceleration and fuel economy. My Sport S is quite enjoyable as a daily driver with 265/70R17.

Disagree. Ran 35's on this JKU as a daily driver for over 5 years with 3.21 gears. Never a problem or much difference in fuel economy from the 33's I ran before

I run 295/70R17 Goodyears on a 10 inch rim and 410 gearing for a year no problems. Do not run 2 different sizes at the same time—-/ bad advice
