Nice rig and looks like it was a great adventure. Are you running 35's? I already have 35's on order and I'm looking at the AEV 2.5'' kit for my JTR.

Interesting for a 2.5 inch lift???

""19. Remove driveshaft pillow block from frame. Install three (3) provided spacers with supplied M10 x 50mm bolts. This will help improve driveline angle and prevent vibration. Torque bolts to 50 lb-ft (fig. 15).""

Great write up. Thanks!

Thanks! Yes, I have 35s. I may eventually move up to 37s but I already had the 35s when I did the lift.

I ended up putting this lift on my brand new JTR. Put 350 miles on then left for colorado for a week. 3500 miles now. I couldn’t be more pleased with the suspension. It drives so nice on the road, no body roll in twisty paved sections and drives nice and smooth. Off-road the ride is controlled and I had plenty of articulation for everything I tried. I think you could spend double and not have as good as results.

For those of you with the AEV lift, how much rake is there once installed? I have found different answers online…. I just ordered this lift and plan to put it on this weekend.

I currently am running a 1.5 inch leveling kit and a .75 spacer in rear. I have an Articus front bumper/ winch and a bed rack. Measuring from the frame rail I’m about 1 inch higher in the back. I need a little more height all around but really want to get my rear end / hitch higher. I’ve smacked it a few times….

About a week or two ago I purchased a Mopar lift and based on what I read I also added a .75 inch spacer for the front to compensate for the bumper / winch (and take out some but not all of the rake). I Haven't Installed it yet and after reading about a million more posts I decided I should have bought the AEV. So now I have 2 but will sell the Mopar.

There is not as much info out there on the AEV and I’m unclear if I should put a spacer in the front or not. I want some rake but not a lot. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I just got back from CO, did the Alpine Loop buy wasn’t able to make Imogene due to schedule issues. It was my first time on those trails and it was a ton of fun.

I haven’t measured but there is a noticeable rake. However, I don’t think it is excessive at all. Let me know where you want measurements and I can get you some. I have a RR Arcus front bumper and Warn winch with synthetic rope, also have a half bed rack.

that would be great, thanks! It sounds like we have a similar set up. Maybe measure the height from the either the rock rail or pinch seam in both the front and back? Much appreciated!

Looks like it is about 1.25” rake measured from bottom of slider. Not the best pics but hope this helps.

How high is the roof top with 35's or 37's? (the old garage fitment issue)

I'm excited to see JK4AER's frame rail at 20"..... which a quick measurement has my current YJ at the same height.
Maybe flying out to pick up a JTR on Friday... Haven't seen in person yet but it has all the options I want on it and a few that are superfluous to me.

Here you go…I’m on 35s and have no trouble with my garage.

I have a sport with the AEV lift, a 1/2 inch front spacer, and 35s. It sits around 77 inches and BARELY fits in the garage. I just put the lift on so I’m guessing it will settle some though.
